Just mooched over to http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp noticed theres a site update with a new firmware dont know if this is news or not but there ya go , just need to borrow a DS to test it . unless anyone can confirm it works .

it works with black 2 and white 2. And it works with latest Ds/DsL/Dsi/3ds firmwares.
