Gaming Pokémon Black/White 2 (E, U) AP Thread

Don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but my game freezes after the first round of the Driftveil tournament, right after you defeat your rival. I'm on Supercard DStwo using an AP patched rom.

I'm having this exact problem as well (all DSTwo users seem to be). I've been reading in this thread that the fix is to use an un-patched ROM on clean mode for that part of the game. The problem is, I just get a white screen after loading the game when using those settings. Similarly, I can't complete this portion of the game using an un-patched ROM on patch mode since the game freezes whenever I exit the party screen, including after I select the three Pokemon to use in the tournament.

If anyone has a solution for this other than copying your save file to your computer and completing this part on an emulator, please do tell.

The emulator solution is too long and it can cause problems, like wasting your time, so I wouldn't bother doing that.
My brother suggests you need to contact or e-mail SCDS2 and see if they have a fix for it.. Or probably some setting in the Properties of SCDS2 will fix it. I never used one before, but this is what my brother and I suggest. As his friend with a DS2 is encountering the same problem.

So you're saying you've formated your SD card to FAT (16),
Tried the clean rom with and without the patching... (clean mode),
Self-Patched the clean for the AP and tried it with and without patching (clean mode...),
Tried downloading a pre-patched, with similar results,
all while using the latest firmware...

Ever thought about investing into a new card...
or...
Double check to see that you PROPERLY patched the game earlier...

See but the weird thing is that ever other game works on the card, it's only these.

I bet it's an issue with Wood 1.52.....

Yeah I don't know what the relationship is between r4i-gold 3ds and wood 1.52 but it doesn't seem to work for these games. I have it working fine on my R4 original with wood 1.52 (patched rom). Maybe if you download wood from the r4ids.cn website it'll work better or maybe you have to get the one from filetrip?

It's probably something we'll just have to wait to get resolved, just play on the emulator for now and then export the battery save when they finally get everything working on the r4i-gold. The emulator exports the same save type that is used by pretty much all R4s. I did this for white last year when I was waiting for my R4 to come in (hadn't realized that they weren't updating supercard SD anymore so I ordered an R4 for the first time).

Just formatted it today with the Panasonic formatter found here. Worked right away! I had it overwrite the entire card before it formatted. So glad it's not my R4i-Gold.

thanks, i used the panasonic formatter before (was an older version), but also saw that Wood 1.53 has been released with direct fixes for white and black 2 also.

But doing both of these things worked!!

There should be a newer AP Patch to fix the PWT freeze.
When people get there, many people will start cimplaing about this. If the patch doesn't release:

Continue the game on the emulater, finish the PWT and then save. Then load it on your flashcart.

For those having crashes in the PWT on the Supercard 2, try changing the mode from "patch" to "clean" for the duration of that part of the game. Change it back after the tournament is over.

Worked fine? The clean rom has a freeze when you exit your pokemon party! It's not a different AP Patch cause it's a clean rom!!!

I was talking about running the PATCHED rom in CLEAN mode. The reason the game crashes in the PWT is because of a conflict between the patched rom and the DSTwo's built in AP bypass.

Select the rom, press X, and change mode from PATCH to CLEAN. Then run the game.

Nah, if you didn't bother to try it, then I am not going to bother going through all the trouble to take very poor quality pictures.

it should work on r4i-sdhc 3ds i mean jaanese version now. But still i get random freeze i got the english patch. Should i run a clean rom or how should i do?? i have try format my sd card and change between alot of different sd card. But still no succes.

BTW, I beat the Elite four and Champion with that magikarp (Magus Derp)

Just incase anyone didn't know,
If you use a multi-type pokemons to beat the elite four... make sure you're only using one... or else you'll miss out on some of the medals...
i.e. Use a Chandelure and Froslass, only get Ghost. Use only Flygon, get Ground and Dragon...

if you use dstt or ysmenu and it freezes or lags like that, its apparently mostly because your sd card isnt fast enough.
apparently, class 6 is the minimum with write/read speed it seems to work with
