Looks very interesting. I like that it can operate as a bluetooth keyboard, that means it should in theory work with the BlackBerry PlayBook, which as it stands only supports keyboards over bluetooth, and not any sort of gamepad (although that may change in the future, making this less important/useful for PB owners), meaning there are currently no game pads (AFAIK) that work with it. [The only other possibility I can think of is using an Xperia Play phone with a couple of apps; one to map the physical controls to keyboard, one to send keyboard input over bluetooth - apps for both exist, but I don't know if they work in unison and I don't have the phone to test it with.]

There is no point in me owning this, at least for my tablet. I can use a wired 360 controller and I know of an app that allows touch emulation. And why a keyboard!? That... that's just packing the gamepad with nonsense just for the sake of packing it with nonsense!!!

This is more compact than a controller and way, way, way easier to use than touch controls. However, the keyboard is most definitely ridiculous.

I think the keyboard is actually a welcome addition, considering how the original ICP lacked enough buttons to properly emulate certain consoles (it was 4 buttons short for the playstation, for example). This allows you to at least map extra buttons to the keys, among other things. Also, it's nice cuz it doubles as a keyboard for phones that don't otherwise have them (I'm probably going to grab a Samsung Galaxy S 3 within the next few months, for example).

This looks a lot like the lower part of Open Pandora. Any relation (same design/development guy/team maybe)? Or is it just one of those shapes?

Anyway, it looks interesting. I like the idea.

What is this raspberry pi they keep talking about? I never heard of it.
It is a really cheap PC. Costs ~35 USD for the more expensive model I think. More info here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/. Uses an ARM processor and runs GNU/Linux. Various distros are available, including I believe an XBMC distro which essentially makes the device a fairly cheap media player. If you have some NAS, you can stream media from that, or you could plug in a hard drive or whatever.

If Ashens is anything to go by, the icontrolpad comes from the same team ehind the Open Pandora.

If it ever comes out I'll get one. This is ideal for turning an Android phone into a portable computer. Will be able to use logmein/teamviewer without having a great big on-screen-keyboard taking up most of the screen. Great for technical support on the road. Hopefully one of the Analogue nubs can be mapped to control the mouse, too.

If they manage to bring this to market as quickly (cough) as they did the Pandora, I should be able to get myself one of these in about 5 years! :)
