The Mac Beta client is available immediately for all Guild Wars 2 players. It shares the same features and connects to the same live game servers as the PC client. Anyone who purchases Guild Wars 2 can now play it on both PC and Mac.

Essentially, it's the full game. Just buy the Windows version and you'll automatically get the Mac version "beta" with it. This "beta", however, is the full entire game, using the live servers and characters. So..... it's not really a beta.
The requirements for the Mac version are:
  • Mac OS®X 10.7.X or later
  • Intel® Core™ i5 or better
  • 4 GB Ram or better
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® 320M, ATI Radeon™ HD 6630M, Intel HD 3000 or better
  • 25 GB available HDD space
  • Broadband Internet connection
  • Keyboard and mouse/equivalent
Personally I'm no a mac user, but I still think it's great that Arenanet gives the Mac version free with all Windows purchases. I have never heard of any other not free game that does this (EDIT: Apparently Steam games do.) I hope more companies (Outside of Steam) will start doing this as well.

So, all your Mac/Apple users out there without a Windows PC, now you have no excuse not to get this downright amazing game.

Portal 2 for PS3. 'Nuff said. http://www.mcvuk.com...c-version/05305

As for the topic at hand, this is something that should be done more often. Having a windows based gaming rig and a work MBP, both capable of running the game, could lead to much more gaming and more profit to companies if they did that more often. May end up buying this if I find time somewhere :P

I think every game on Steam that has a Windows and Mac version gets you both when you buy one of them.
