Breaking Bad has been one of AMC's most popular and well received telivision shows, earning the network countless Emmys and millions of viewers. Unfortunately, due to an accidental misprint in the show's contract, they have lost the rights to air the show. Due to this mix up, ABC will now be broadcasting the show, including its final 8 episodes next year.
"We're very excited about this opportunity," said ABC Entertainment Chief Paul Lee. "While we're sorry for our friends over at AMC, we think of this as a wonderful opportunity for our network. We're looking forward to giving the fans the finales they want. Plus, we will begin re-airing the rest of the series soon, too, with just a few minor changes to better fit our network's format.
He went on to say that fans should not be worried. "We here at ABC love Breaking Bad, and the great achievements made by Vince Gilligan and his staff. We hope that through some slight adjustments, we could expose even more people to this wonderful show. Don't worry, fans, you won't even notice the difference."
