A little bit background: Nintendo 3DS uses autostereoscopic 3D, which lets you see two different images (one for each eye) at the same time to achieve a 3D effect.

It's really hard to explain, but I'll try my best. I know I'm in the "sweetspot" so everything should be ok. When I close my left eye, the image I see is clear, but when I close only my right eye, what I see is the image for the left eye AND overlapped with a faint image which is meant for the right eye. I tried to move the screen in every imaginable position to get that sweetspot again, but I can't.

Sometimes this happen. I played Pushmo in full 3D, but this problem only occured in one puzzle.

So, is it normal? Do you also experience this?

If this is only occurring on certain levels / games then it's likely 1 of 2 things:

1) The game's 3D has not rendered properly making it difficult to 'see' without readjusting (most noticeable in games such as LoZ)
2) The 3D is too strong for you to be able to see at these times, if it happens again trying adjusting the 3D depth slider.

I've also experienced this with a few games (mostly games with ghosting such as Rayman 3D or Ocarina of Time 3D). There is nothing that can be done about it from our site. At least I can tell that it's (most likely) not your eye's fault. It's the games themselves.

Yeah, I also got that. Though it's much MUCH worse on my 3DS XL. I'm hoping that my 3DS was defective rather then every game having such crap built in...

I just got my 3DS XL back (well, got a replacement, thanks Nintendo!), and yeah, it does appear my 3DS XL was defective. Even so, OOT always seems to have ghosting, which still makes me think some developers put it in... Oh well... Just adjust the 3D slider for OOT.

Yeah, OOT ghosts for me, too, so I just ratchet down the slider. (It's also an issue when I get tired in pretty much all 3DS games.)

Good to know. I thought I have some kind of an eye problem. Haha. Thanks.
If one eye can see a clear image while the other sees a bleed, don't blame the 3DS. Hardware parts are built asymmetrically, meaning it's like a triangle and fold it in half--both sides are angled the same. What you're saying indicates the angles for your eyes are NOT the same.

It happens. My eyes are skewed as well, but not like yours. Mine have different horizontal angles, but being right-handed, I mostly align myself from the right side eye (which means the horizon for my left eye is definitely slanted).

In any case, as long as you can play just fine, it's no biggie. You may have to compensate a bit for your right eye, because chances are your real sweet spot is a bit skewed.

I've also experienced this with a few games (mostly games with ghosting such as Rayman 3D or Ocarina of Time 3D). There is nothing that can be done about it from our site. At least I can tell that it's (most likely) not your eye's fault. It's the games themselves.
Set the 3D to a point that's perfect for you (this is so you cannot argue that the 3D is too strong or too weak). Now pass it over to someone else. Now pass it again. Chances are, somewhere along the line, someone will see ghosting, someone will experience intense 3D, someone else won't even see it in 3D.

Tell me its not your eyes again. The only factor that changes here are the people who view it. The software didn't change. The hardware didn't change. So yeah, explain to me how it's not your eyes.

Granted, some games just plain suck at using the effect (Sims3D for example). But for something like Ocarina of Time which got the 3D right, I really cannot agree that it's the game's fault.

Stereo 3D is very, very subjective.

Yes I agree with that but OoT did have it's bad moments (during cut-scenes) and I know for a fact that wasn't my eyes. I've been practising stereoscopic 3D since the age of 7 and can 'see' stereo pairs almost instantly

True, but we all agree on the bad moments anyways. That's why I specified that the person should set it where the 3D is perfect for them, and then pass it on. That way, they'll realize it's not the same for everybody, unless everybody says otherwise.
