I made this topic because looking it seems this place is too much about downloading games and less about buying the console which is probably something lots of people are looking to do, I also wanted to compile my results as I look around to buy one myself. So I wanted to share my findings on the best deals and prices I can find out there, at least for the UK.

I would appreciate the help from other members who can help compile deals and prices from other countries. Feel free to update this post if you are a mod or admin in-case I am not around.

United States

The 3DS XL comes with an AC Adaptor in the US.
The 3DS XL is not sold in Silver in the US.

Do toys r us include free delivery with thier orders? You should edit the post and put if any of the deals include free delivery or free next day delivery as that adds up to the total price, thanks for the list anyway.

Also amazon uk deal is not great, thier selection of free games is not great at all, i have all these games already apart from that crappy final fantasy game, if i did take advantage of thier deal i would sell the free game to cover the express delivery surgecharge that i would have to pay on top.

Toys r us deal is bloody horible, they charge you £8 for next day delivery and even have the nerve to charge you £4.95 for standard delivery for orders under £50, the games that come with the bundle are rubbish too.

As far as I can see, any order over £50 gets free "standard" delivery at Toys-r-us.

I only chose the amazon bundle as it seems to give you the most for your money. And some of us don't have any 3DS yet :3 I might wait till prices come down a little more myself. But some people want to buy now and I hope this helps them choose what's best for them.

Amazon deal is ok but you have to concider that you have to add the mains charger to the price and on top of that not everyone wants to wait so add the next day delivey to the total, on top of that you have to concider accessories too so it all adds up, that is why you have to calculate everything that you want to add to the total price, of course you can always sell the free game to get some money back but even that dosn't take a lot off, in my case i will prob be spending around £240 and that dosn't even include next day delivery in that price.

And i agree with you, it could be a good idea to wait but problem with nintendo is they rarely cut down thier prices look at how much the dsi is still, you could always wait till better colours and bundles come out, nintendo are stupid for taking out the mains adaptor in europe, they say bullcrap how it saves money but how can it when we are charged extra for it when it was included free with the normal sized 3ds?

Nintendo said UK/Europe retailers could set their own prices. But it's been revealed that trade price is about £167.50 and Nintendo intends on making a profit from the system. So this time around, it's Nintendo's fault.

Although there's some sneaky in retailers, GAME were doing the official AC Adaptor for £5 when bought with an 3DS XL, but when I tried it it didn't work. A friend who works at game told me they pulled the offer from their stores so probably stopped it working online too. I challenged the marketing team about it, but no response.

I actually paid £131 for my blue 3ds xl from tesco entertainment it was on offer for £169.99 then I used a code that was going around on hotukdeals at 15% and then I did a quidco in the end got it for £131 cracking price I was hunting high and low for the best price be patient a good deal will come along.

I didn't know whether there should be an seperate section for Canada, especially as most of the time US ships to Canada and visa-versa. And given there's been almost no contribution to the US section other than what I could think up....

Updated some of the prices, it seems friday is "Raise prices day" in the UK. GAME have removed zelda from their bundles and raised bundle prices by £25, but finally restored the AC Adaptor promotion again lol. I also added the worth in loyalty/reward points you get from certain stores.

Yeah the prices have gone way high now, i have to buy my bundle from shitty amazon and trade the game in, no choice, prob pick up mario kart 7 second hand from cex better than nothing, also mains charger is sold out on amazon so that is going to be a pain finding a place to buy one from.

Yeah, well most retailers seem consistent with the £6.99 price instead of the £8.99 Nintendo are charging from their own store. Which is a bonus, so you won't be paying extra to buy it elsewhere. I'd prolly get mine from game and spend my reward points to make it a couple of quid.

GAME will do £15 trade-in for Zelda or Super Mario. They don't take game condition into account though so you might be better finding a place that does.
Gamestation = GAME

EDIT: I still continue to try to hunt down US retailers in the hopes of this thread getting more favoured attention from the forumers. I've added a few to the list today. Not that they're much help, the price across the board in the US seems to be $200 before tax.
