Today after finishing the first level of the demo of rayman legends the console crashed. The staff rebooted the console and it booted into the dev menu. I was able to take a photo of it before they booted rayman legends again.

Maybe someone could figure out something about the console with it. I haven't seen the dev menu anywhere so I thought it would be interesting to see.
Hope it could help a bit or it is at least interesting

It is what it is, a dev menu. It doesn't tell us much except that the Wii U has a dev menu with various test functions, settings, and information like how many titles you have installed etc.

I could believe it. The 3DS had a similar one.

Edit: What was the picture taken by? A toaster?
Why do people expect quick moments to be captured by a Canon DSLR?
Oh, I'm sorry, I should be able to power on my Canon DSLR and insert the lens in and take this super quick photo.

"System Titles", "Installed Titles" - Sounds like they're using IOS again then, woop woop.

The presence of those entries proves nothing, except that WiiU content is also referred to as "titles"; there is zero reason why they would change the nomenclature of such a thing, and it in no way proves, or even suggests, IOS is still in use. Furthermore, if "IOS" (again, just a name, which there is no real reason to change) is indeed in presence (which I have reason to believe is the case) it will obviously be completely different to the Wii IOS, seeing as the hardware is different etc., and so it is nothing worth being excited about in any way. (There'll probably/almost certainly be a Wii IOS or two present too for backwards compatibility purposes, but they'll have the exploits fixed, and it'll be sandboxed so it'd be no use anyway).

There are two reasons why the Wii U will use the very same IOS (at least for the compatibility mode if you can call it that) that the Wii uses:

1) Wii U will be backwards compatible to the Wii
2) tueidj claimed people already got their hands on the Wii U plus its hardware is very similar to the Wii

Oh, sorry man, I forgot that "It sounds like" has the same meaning as "It's a definite fact". You're totally right. I just didn't notice that.

Yeah, man, you're totally right. They'd totally use a completely new system that's nothing like IOS, and use the exact same naming system. Like, why would you change that, right? They're nothing alike but they're *basically* the same so let's give them the same name. You've got it all figured. Congrats man.

Congrats.

I'm getting a behind closed doors preview of the Wii U and a few other things, I paid $450 for the tickets to EbExpo and it had bett be worth it.

Gee, you're completely right, I'm an idiot. Oh wait, no. I was just saying that the name "titles" has absolutely no relevance to IOS in the slightest.

At that point, I was not talking about IOS, but about "titles". The name of which has absolutely nothing to do with IOS. A "title" is just some installed content on the Wii (e.g. a channel, the System Menu, an IOS). There is no reason why installed content on the WiiU would not also be called "titles". Again, as I said above, this is completely and utterly unrelated to IOS.

1) If you quoted my full post, and not just part of it, you would have quoted the part where I said this exact thing and that the WiiU will have to have at least a few of the Wii IOS
2) "(which I have reason to believe is the case)"
