They could be optional to battle, you can choose their pokemon and where they are.
Also, just for laughs... can you add Justin Beiber? Give him a lvl 1 hoothoot that only knows growl, he challenges you as soon as you leave New Bark Town, and he says "I'm the one who will be a Pokemon Master!". After he looses, he disappears forever...
Can you add them, or are you supposes to ask them first...?
