I don't know if Nintendo can churn out anything new with Mario now... Galaxy was the last one I truly enjoyed.
3DLand? Meh...
Mario kinda lost it's "WOW" factor.
3D Land was too easy in my opinion, but at least it was new and fresh, in a weird retro way. I mean, they basically took Super Mario 64 and combined in with Super Mario Bros. 3 to make a completely new style of play. It was original, to say the least. I was really hoping that would be the new standard for handheld Mario games, but instead they're giving us a rehash of a rehash of a rehash of Mario games from 20 years ago. :(
3D Land? Easy? For me it was way too hard...

Easy or Hard is subjective. Mario games cant be too difficult to beat, because they are made for children, but Special levels are the keys to put some challenge for experienced players.

As I said, it is a matter of whom is playing but I think that New Super Mario Bros (Wii and DS) and Super Mario Galaxy (1 & 2) are more challenging than 3D Land.

Why do you think so?

I see what you mean. the first 8 worlds were about the right difficulty for me (apart from a few where I had to use the golden tanooki suit)but the special worlds were way too hard.

Apparently, the button combination mentioned above is not working.

Just maybe, this is like the RE : Mercenaries 3D thing that you cannot delete the whole saave file. I don't know. Who the hell would be a used retail copy of the game with a save file of more than 1m coins already XD

That doesn't sound like Nintendo, honestly... There must be a way to permanently delete all save data.

"Go to data management on your 3ds and erase the extra data for nsmb 2."

Got an answer from gamefaqs. Will try this later. I never knew save files are not saved in the cart.

It might just be the coin count, not the files. I remember reading that your coin count is saved as streetpass data for comparing scores and whatnot. Kind of like the record times in SM3DL.

Honestly, I'm a bit surprised I didn't think of this myself. lol

Have you ever wonder what happens when you get 1 mi coins?
Here it is:

Seriously?! You make a fucking effort just for a new title screen.
I'm truly disappointed :hateit:

Is there actually much hype for this? It seems okay, but no improvement over the original NSMB, and definitely not as good as the Wii version. I'm getting it at launch because I liked the original, but it doesn't seem like the kind of game people would go ecstatic over.
The WiiU version seems like an actual improvement over previous versions, I'll definitely be getting that as well.

Edit: Does anyone know if it supports Download Play?

Damn you Nintendo you trolls! They said it was the goal of the game to get alot of coins!
Btw,if you think of it,this game is sort of ridiculous.Their just making it easier for us to get lives.

Ah yea. Nobody's thought of that before. And because nobody's thought about it, the redundancy of the point has never been shot down in flames before...

The more I hear about this game, the more I solidify my decision to wait until I can find this used for SERIOUSLY cheaper. lol

Since the first screenshot I said this game would be disappointing.
With the time more and more my intuition was comfirmed.
This looks the most disappointing Mario platformer ever
