Of all the phones you listed the Lumia 610 is the best but, If you can spend a little more on a 710 if you can, as it is a least guaranteed the update 7.8, while the 610 is limited by the ram and processor speed and might not get the update.

That is assuming those are the only phones you can get.

Currently, I have about $190.
I've read some reviews on internet, and the Lumia 610 has been received quite negative reactions. They criticized the screen (56,000 colors compared to 256,000 colors screen of Samsung Galaxy models); Windows Phone runs pretty laggy, apps market is poor, and so on.

Windows phone had the most fluid experience for mobile operating systems, what you say is true the screen is worse on the lumia 610 than most Samsung Galaxy models but it is way better than the ones you listed by leaps and bounds, also it would be much faster that them as they would most likely lag the most having such low specs. The only other option would be the initial nokia you listed in the first post which would have an even lower app market, but it would tie the lumia for fluidity.

The only phones that would be better than the lumia for the price ranger are
Samsung Omnia W I8350
Sony Xperia U
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 I8160

I'm using european pricing for that comparison.

After looking into it a bit more, I would recommend either saving a little bit of money for the above phones or if you could save enough the galaxy nexus is as fluid as the SG3 after the jelly bean update and is only being sold for $350. If not get the lumia 610.

That is very true but, telling OP to buy a severely worse Android phone that have outdated hardware and software which would only get very experimental custom roms that most likely won't work for day to day operation is much worse.

That is why I recommended the lumia 710 as it will at least get the update to 7.8, but even without it the lumia 610 is much better than the phones that he can buy with $190. That is if you need to buy a phone right now adamshinoda, but it is always good to wait but

Well the far more relevant point being that there isn't nearly the same app selection on Windows Phone right now. Depending on what the OP wants to do, he might want to check if there's an app for the all the functions that he wants on Windows Phone.

Now that I remember $190 is a very good amount of money for buying a good android, you can probably buy a samsung galaxy s at that price range or maybe even a galaxy nexus s, I've seen them being sold over here for $110, look for one of those if you can op. If you could get a nexus S that would be even better as it runs native android 4.1.

Future Shop Canada has a special going on now; you can get a Refurbished Samsung Vibrant for a measly $100. It's an amazing phone, especially considering that you can install Android 4.1 on it. I myself have a Captivate running Jelly Bean and everything has been smooth sailing so far

I'm thinkin about choosing an Android phone, but many people said that Android phones below $200 is not better than Symbian phones at that money range. A major aspect that I care is the app market: Apparently, Android app market is 4 times bigger than Symbian's.

Nokia or Samsung now...?

I dont understand how Symbian is still alive in the midst of the iOS and Android battle, its already dead in the US but I hear it still doing "ok" in other parts of the world

anyway I dont know how much a Galaxy Nexus costs over there but its a great phone to look into if you can afford it
