Hacking How can you Edit mym themes

I remeber awhile back,that Iedit out images or replace them in a theme from a program
I no longer had that pc or that program.
Anyone know where i can get that?
or edit a theme for me?

your better getting the thememii program from my thread the official one doesnt support 4.3 where my mod does
also grab the okami theme it has the old file structure so you can swap png files

Ahh i was wanting to edit the DarkWii purple with a decepticon motife instead of the purple swirls

if thats the case extract the mym with winrar
use lz77mii as some of the arc files are commpressed
use szs modifier to swap the pics
then pack back to a mym with winrar

Ok awesome well on my way.
I just cant finds the wii menu stuff and the sd card images
or the disc channel banners
if you could help me a bit with those i would be very greatful

I am trying to make my own Wii theme or edit your guys DarkWii Pink theme. I have tried the steps above but they didn't seem to work I have also looked all over online and can't seam to find any thing two The lz77mii won't decompress any of the files in the .mym I extracted using WinRAR and the szs modifier won't open any of the files two! Is there newer software or steps I have to take to edit themes or am I doing something wrong? Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated Thx! - djcjf

If your trying to edit the darkwii theme there is no way around decompressing the files if you open the arc files in notepad or a hex editor and it starts with LZ77 it must be decompressed before you can edit the contents of the arc
your sure you are trying to decompress and not compress in lz77mii
i do not know of any other tools for decompressing the files

if you are wanting to make a theme from scratch you could try using the Theme Brlyt Editor in my sig there is also a link to a theme base pack that i made
i have just updated the links in the thread

1 folder called ash this contains the compressed arc files
1 folder called tpl this contains a single tpl image file
a brlyt file called it_Has_a.brlyt
and the mym.ini file that tells thememii how to make the theme

I think I am going to try making my own theme but I might still edit the DarkWii pink theme Turns out it was CrossOver giving me grief decompressing the arc files with lz77mii It gives me a error saying I need to configure Microsoft.NET Framework 2.0 to give lz77mii permission to decompress and compress files sadly I don't think I can fix this in CrossOver so I am going to need to run it in real windows or try to run it in plane old Wine Thanks again for all the help! - djcjf
