If you pay attention to the video, you can see they've retained the IR port. So the fading hopes of a CPPxL aren't completely extinguished.

Why are they fading??? I'm almost certain Nintendo won't pass up the opportunity to make a few quid out of a CPPxL!

You're right. I misread the article I was looking at, and also thought they mentioned that at Nintendo Direct.

Wow, that sucks. The red and blue are the worst colors, and other regions get three options.

and would love to sell it and buy a 3DS XL
This looks better in lots of ways
The next time I go to USA I'll do that,
probably will not win much money from selling my 3DS,

The XL will offer no such thing - post processing of game graphics would require a complete re-work of the OS and additional resources to handle the extra work the CPU and GPU have to take care of. If there is a visual difference then it's a matter of the screen.

Don't "bullshit" people with so-called "rounded" pixels - the pixels on the 3DS are not rounded, they're not even square, they're rectangular.
