I will never understand why Nintendo didn't put in a second analog pad. Yeah, it would fragment games a little. If only there was an addon for the 3DS that gave us a second analog pad... if only...

Oh wait.

So... it wouldn't really fragment anything had they added one and would have instead increased sales of the 3DS? I can see why Nintendo wouldn't want that.

What is the point in buying the XL if you already have the original?
Well for some of us getting older the big screen is a lot nicer. Also as with the DSI XL my hands don't seem to cramp up nearly as much as when I am holding the smaller unit. Also it is supposed to have better battery life not that i have ever had any problems with the existing 3DS.

Not to mention there are some people who have a hard time actually seeing smaller screens. I know of a few people like that personally. So a bigger screen would be much more appealing to them.

Heck, I wouldn't mind having a bigger screen, but as mentioned a million times now, without a second analog pad, I simply don't need it.

This is such a pointless thread. If you want a big sexy screen, get a 3DS XL and if you want a more portable device with a worse battery life, get a regular 3DS. No need for a guide.

i like having the thing small enough to fit in my pocket, but i also like a bigger screen, i already have a 3ds
i dont why nintendo continues to make 1 retarded mistake after another. no 2nd analog stick? really? WTF were they thinking
more games with horrible control like KI uprising, cant wait , nintendo has dropped the ball big time , every thing they toch turns to shit lately, they need to fire some people over there, they need to do some serious restructuring ,that are getting senile ,all they do make awful descisions lately,

people who say that adding a 2nd analog would "fracture" the platform are retarded, NOT having one fractures it more cause if you have an old 3ds and a new game requires 2 analog you just buy a cpp 2nd analog, if you have an xl you cant use your cpp on the xl you have to wait for them to make a new one ,if you already have one then you have to buy another cpp for the xl so it will fit ,we alreay have an add on for the original and games that use it, there is NO reason not to put a 2nd analog in

nintendos mistakes just keep getting dumber and dumber

The 3DS LL battery life isn't that amazing anyway.

But I agree, a guide is kinda unneeded.

I see a lot of people saying the graphics are going to be worse on the XL. How can anyone know this for sure? If it is true, it would put me off buying a XL...

Well they're going to be a bit worse, because the pixels are bigger, but it probably won't be that noticeable.

It may well be negated if the 3D experience is better on the big screens (which I imagine it will be).
