Even if the .savs aren't encrypted (or can be decrypted) I'm guessing that we couldn't do much simply because the 3ds wouldn't be in 3ds mode. Therefore restricting the chance of exploitation. However we would perhaps be able to learn something, what exactly is anyone's guess.

It's in 3DS mode on Gameboy Color games if you hold start and select.

It is in 3DS mode... that's how the whole emulator works...

Lol if ya open a gba save (from 3ds) or 3ds game save file in hex editor than you can see often spaces with only 'ff ff ff ff's parts.
Did they do that on purpose or something xD.
And the reason that gba saves on 3ds are bigger and different (what I think) is because it also contains the save data when you make a restore point (also other things I think).
Was comparing a Link's Awakening DX 3ds save and a emulator save (they haven't almost a thing the same) but also 2 emulator's saves (that weren't much different from each other)
But could be the fact that's encrypted.

They are not just normal roms so that won't work I guess

No, gba games are signed for use on the 3ds virtual console (the ones from the eshop)

For the record, any .sav files on your 3DS SD Card are encrypted. In fact, almost everything on there is encrypted, apart from your own music or photos.

Each 3DS has its own encryption key. You will not be able to find this. Stop asking.

so since we now can decrypt savegames it might be possible to inject gba sav files, right? I will try it when i have time.
