What is the current naming convention for emulated game covers?

I have some N64 roms in my USB:\wii64\roms folder:

1080 Snowboarding (Japan, USA) (En,Ja).v64.zip
Bug's Life, A (USA).v64.zip
Yoshi's Story (USA) (En,Ja).v64.zip

In my USB:\wiiflow\plugins folder my wii64.ini has this:

coverflow=wii64

I've tried placing the cover art in the USB:\wiiflow\boxcovers\wii64 and USB:\wiiflow\covers\wii64 folder but they don't show up on the emu screen.

So I rebuilt the cache by pressing B on the options button and it still didn't display the images.

The graphics are named:

1080 Snowboarding (Japan, USA) (En,Ja).v64.zip.png
Bug's Life, A (USA).v64.zip.png
Yoshi's Story (USA) (En,Ja).v64.zip.png

I then tried decompressing the games and removing the zips. The names are:

1080 Snowboarding (JU) [!].z64
A Bug's Life (U) [!].z64
Yoshi's Story (U) [!].z64

And the graphics are named:

1080 Snowboarding (JU) [!].z64.png
A Bug's Life (U) [!].z64.png
Yoshi's Story (U) [!].z64.png

I tried removing the .z64 from the names and putting the graphics in USB:\wiiflow\boxcovers\wii64 and USB:\wiiflow\covers\wii64 folders and then rebuilding the cache but it had no effect.

I finally gave up on the distinct emu folders and put the games in the USB:\wiiflow\boxcovers folder and the covers came up but were stretched so I moved them to the USB:\wiiflow\covers folder and rebuilt the cache and it showed up correctly.

I then changed the plugin .ini coverflow item to wiiflow/covers/wii64 and moved the graphics there and rebuilt the cache but it didn't find it so I think there is a bug in the plugins code where it isn't picking up the coverflow folder to use for that emu's graphics.

Also - after pressing B-option to rebuild the cache, each time I switch back to the Wii games coverflow it takes well over a minute as it looks like it is rebuilding the main Wii games coverflow cache.
i have the older ones( well i guess they are), from when carbonik first hit as a theme, there is like four/five of them. ( fire, reguler, purple, green,an cyan, the color not the mod). if you need them or want one let me know. found them on a german wii site i visit a lot.

now if someone could find this cool a$$ forwarder :D http://www.youtube.c...d&v=wULglbkTRPM
That's a cool one. If you follow the Youtube links and use Google translate to convert the pages to English it says that he's not done yet and the channel isn't released yet. Do we have anyone who knows enough French to write him a note asking to see if we can help finish?

I bet AbdallahTerro could finish it in an hour :)

don't know if this is a wiiflow problem, but so far three games that used to work fine for gamecube now have issues...i've been on dml 1.3, and they have worked fine before i went to wiiflow 308 and today 309.
  • madden 08 freezes upon selecting progressive mode but the controller still works since i can reset the wii,
  • tony hawk underground freezes at the title screen after the videos play
  • super mario sunshine has a green bar at the bottom of the screen
i don't see how wiiflow can be the culprit but its the only thing i changed. the work fine in usb loader gx, its gotta be wiiflow. just tested now. damnit things were going great guys! hopefully you can find this bug.

Guess on what I'm working atm ;)

darn, I was working on that too. mine uses a filter menu for emuflow based off of the categories menu. it would allow you to select which system you want to see roms for. but don't worry I won't commit. how will yours work?

This is the way i would like to see the emulators done with a menu system like this one , that can seperate our roms in our emulators.. http://youtu.be/aJAySTHAcuE

what theme is that? anyone know? i would also like those covers that would rock. also how the hell did that guy get all those wiiware covers, most wiiware covers are either flat only or not even available.

LOL mine is exaclty the same, damnit :P Well your maybe faster ready than me, so just do it ;)

sorry to say but wiiflow has really been broken for me in these newest revs, i just was going through my stuff trying to get some full covers that are missing and i was just simply browsing. i was in the nand emu section and all my wiiware stuff was available. i simply went into the nand emu options, did not change anything, i just wanted to see what you guys added, and now i cannot see my emu nand. in the top corner it does say NAND [USB 1] which is correct, but it only shows the channels on my wii nand. maybe its a bug and the setting was erased i will investigate further and post any further findings.

@fledge68 thanks for the info on the theme, will check it out it looks awesome.

edit: just rolled back to r280 from the googlecode, still the same problem, only shows my wiis nand channels. i tried pressing B on the settings icon and that will switch what its looking at, but again its only shows the wii nand channels.

edit 2: got it working, had to delete the .db file in the wiiflow/list folder.

for emulator covers, go here http://gbatemp.net/topic/324714-cover-collections-for-emulators-with-cover-support/

and the vc/ww covers in that video, they are custom made.

if it's only showing the channels on wii nand then press the 'b' button while pointing at the view switcher icon

Actually, I had that problem, too, and the pressing B thing didn't fix it. All it did was change the "nand[usb1]" to "nand". What worked for me, too, was going into wiiflow/cache/lists and deleting the nand emulation file. I was already using r280, though, when it happened to me.
