This article has an interesting analysis on the design of the phone. While I don't think the phone looks so bad. I believe the author is right in saying it is a "Let's not make Apple mad at us" phone.

I personally felt that the GS3 would benefit a lot more if it had an improved GPU with quad core configuration. But that would just lead to rising costs I suppose.

I can only see about 2 - 4 phones using this chipset in the near future. Needless to say, Samsung are pretty exceptional chip makers (they even manufactured Apple Ax SoCs).
