Does anyone remember when the R4 shipped with an empty white shell in the other space of the two cartridge snapping case in case you owned a pearl white DS Lite? And more importantly, does anyone remember (or have a link to) that Youtube video of some dude with a Jersey accent describing how to skin your R4 using a topless David Hasselhoff theme and describing how to access the different functions by either clicking a nipple or his chest hair?

:( I wasn't trolling. This is back when the R4s were like $70... and the msd slot was spring loaded.

I remember buying mine from amazon and didn't know why it wouldn't work. Then I found this website and realised I am supposed to install firmware. I was such a noob :D

Cool, thanks for moving this Another World. I remember trying to skin my new R4 and stumbled across the most hilarious Youtube video that I've mentioned. I can't even find that David Hasselhoff theme anymore; not that I'd want it.

That sounds absolutely hilarious XD
It was. I think I found the picture from the DH theme:

Now try to imagine a cocky Jersey kid saying, "a'ight, so here's your new picture. You know you likes it, haHA! For the DS games, clicks over 'ere; for the GBA stuffs rub on this nipple ova' here. Oh yeah, (rubs DH's nipple with stylus) just like that you sick puppy."

...or something like that.

I'm from Jersey and nobody I know talks like that lol. That definitely is more or a Brooklyn sort of accent, from what I can gather from your text XD

Then there's the... white kids who try to act ghetto, and the black kids who try to act ghetto... in the area that I live... There is no ghetto-ness in Toms River. I have no idea where the hell these kids are getting it from, but Toms River isn't ghetto.

It's hard to text a Jersey-accent. I'm from sunny southern California and we have no accent. >.> Anywho, the comments in my aforementioned Youtube vid (which is no where to be found) all seemed to agree that the OP was from New Jersey.

I became super frustrated with my original R4 when the spring mechanism refused to click my msd into place. I used to shim a toothpick in there just to keep it into place. Eventually, I found a tutorial on Youtube on how to "disable the spring mechanism on an R4" and decided to give it a shot. After taking my R4 apart and putting it back together again it and NOT doing what they suggested, it "magically" started working again. The spring mechanism had broken in such a fashion that the msd would actually "wedge" into place once pushed in. It still "works" to this day; but it's stored in one half of it's original snapping case. And in the other side, the Metroid demo that came with my DS Phat. True story.

Best of all the original is the most stable flashcard considering the official team disbanded. I hear no complaints playing any videogame after firmware upgrades.

Acekard 2i and DSTwo say hi?

Oh so that one is stable too right?
Both of those carts have support and updates too.
Then which one is better? I need a bigger flashcard at some point since I play a lot of Pokemon games and they take up a lot of space.
PS I like Wood's interface.
