We've done it again, thecobra has found a new PSP game exploit on 1.67 for the PS Vita! Even greater news, this game is available on the PSP store as well! Here's the story from Wololos blog.:

Hope you didn’t wait too long since our last VHBL release a bit more than 2 weeks ago… This is a new PSP user mode exploit by thecobra (also discovered a while ago by WosRet), which I confirmed runs on a PS Vita with Firmware 1.67. Unlike Motorstorm and Everybody’s Tennis, this game is available in the US store as well as some other countries (details to come). Check the video and details below.

Thecobra already ported VHBL to this exploit, and we already have something running, that just needs a few tweaks here and there before being released. So far I didn’t see anything that would prevent HBL from running on Vita 1.67, but that will need to be fully confirmed in the days to come.

The name of the exploited game is obviously kept a secret until the public announcement, and if you don’t want to miss the release, remember that history repeats itself. Sony will most likely remove the game within hours following the announcement, so stay tuned.

Congrats and thanks to thecobra!

Finally, I might be able to get this one this time!

Eat me. It's an expression meaning "The community".
Do you mean "bite me"? I never heard of the expression "eat me" before (although googling the phrase did provide a video of an attractive young lady singing along suggestively to a rap song titled "Eat Me Out").

Oh, it's just an expression I've been using for years now. I don't think it's all that popular besides the phrase you mentioned.

These exploits might allow unsigned code, but they're pointless imo.... I mean Sony just simply blocks the exploits they're using in just a firmware release and also makes sure that they pull out the game before a lot of people get their hands on the exploitable game.

Well it lets you run PSP homebrew, so it's not entirely pointless. Imagine playing GBA games on that beautiful OLED screen!

Sure you get to emulate retro games on a beautiful OLED screen, but you will be forced to update to their next firmware once they release it and you'll lose the exploit's functionality.

You're only forced to update if you want to use the PSN or Content Manager. You also get a bunch of PSP homebrew that works as well, so like I said it's not 100% pointless.

Doesn't the emulated PSP environment kinda defeat the purpose of the OLED? ...or am I missing something? Probably the latter.

Uhh...it only has one screen, the OLED. It's not like it can emulate a LCD screen  lol.
