I want a PS3 emulator!!!

Im sure it can be done in terms of programing, that stuf can happen, its who would do it.
I remember, the dingoo doesnt have much power to emulate a PS1 dicent, but a programer had the apropiate skill to program a PS1 emulator for DIngo and its flying the emulator.
I remember users saying that PS1 emulator for dingo would be "IMPOSIBLE" News | Dingoonity.org - The Dingoo Community

If someone out there has the apropiate skill, I would like a PS3 emulator. It CAN be done.

although I would e more than happy with Gamecube emulator.

Do you want to know HOW MUCH skill that would take?

Normal computers can't emulate the PS3 beyond "Hello World" (RPCS3) so I can't imagine anything significantly weaker would do any better. Forget about it.

I love kiddies who say a system significantly weaker can emulate something. It's funny.
Let me set this straight for you with an equivalent of what you're saying: GAMEBOY CAN EMULATE PS2.

Eh, there isn't even a PS3 emulator for Windows yet, and you think we can make one for the 3DS?
You'd require a PC with aprox. 3-4 times the calculation power of the PS3, and such a PC would be *quite expensive*, hence there is no audience, hence there is no emulator.

The 3DS is significantly less powerful, I can't see why an emulator would be impossible.

I am proud to reveal what this upcoming project is today.

It has come to my attention that there is no GBATemp Homebrew Bounty. At the time of writing the news above (~3 weeks ago) I was under the impression it would happen again.

Regardless by saying "at" I was implying "by". I will still release this next version, to be dubbed "CiTRUS Ultimate". Currently I do not have an estimate of when the release will be exactly, but I am hoping for sometime next week since I am getting positive results.

I know, due to the nature of how I am "unknown" to the scene, I may be considered a liar or fraud. To assure you that I am honest with my work I will enclose a download to a work-in-progress 3DS-mode Homebrew ("Hello World") CXI I developed using CiTRUS Ultimate.

There are many channels you can get updated...
3dbrew.org and #3dsdev on EFNET

elisherer, Im sure a bounty can occur.

Citrus Ultimate and custom cxi would only work on dev console 3ds anyway....

Maybe for now but when the retail private/common keys get leaked it *could* be for a retail console. That was Xcution's goal to sort of create a "ds app studio"-like equivalent for the 3ds so by the time there is an exploit we'll easily be able to make homebrew well instead of waiting months or years for others to figure it out.

How would you go about only encrypting part of RAM? Wouldn't discerning between certain types of data and only encrypting some be a total resource drain?
Either you encrypt everything in RAM or you encrypt nothing. In this case it's, with 99% probability, nothing.
The PS3 also doesn't encrypt RAM, afaik. So it isn't unheard of in modern consoles.
In general it isn't a problem if the rest of the consoles security works. But being able to watch and edit RAM makes it much easier to find flaws in that security.
...the RAM itself is not encrypted, I tried to explain that to you. RAM simply contains data, which can be encrypted or not. RAM is Random Access Memory, it's simply used to store data which is necessary at a given moment simply because it's designed for fast input and output, that's all there is to it.
-.- yeah and I explained to you that "encrypted RAM" is just an expression. A way of saying "all the data in RAM is encrypted". How can you not comprehand that?
