i don't like the whole hacking and homebrew section at all... i mean i know its there just in case...
It was there "in case" there were real hacking subject, but now it's there to prevent users from posting everywhere else, it's like a thrash section, but if we close/split it it will be worse

There are less than 10 useful/legit threads in all that section.
- 3D video maker (not really a hack, but a legit thread)
- Video injection (fool server to see video from other regions)
- QR generation for eshop game (Pyramid)
- 3DS explorer (read cci header's informations)
- CiTRus (Still untested? not useful to retail unit)
- WebKick
- This topic (Should be renamed).

Poor WebKick...

is this about n3ds?

if yes read his comment

don't fear the BGA, but be prepared to open up your wallet ;-)
Related to 3DS, it says "ctr" on the board which related to 3DS, but it's not something that will be of direct use to people just wanting homebrew or piracy. The comment about opening a wallet is most likely referring to neimod himself having to pay to build this.

so does anyone think the flashcard teams are using his work to make a card? the hardware stuff seems well documented enough that they could be almost as far along as him
but what is that board with all the resistors and leds for?the one in the metal tin box
Why would you even want that? The DS had flashcarts because it was an inheritance from the GBA, plus it had no storage, but it already had a kind of custom firmware available for it. The DSi had flashcarts because nobody cares enough about it, plus, some games were exploitable. Now, the 3DS has everything it takes for a PSP-like CFW with ROM loading built-in.

Well I would prefer to have a flashcart over a CFW.... Really... Much more simple, much more safe...

...not an actual Homebrew Channel. He's just showing that he can in fact edit the contents in memory live.
Someone else succeed that, and it was for the Dsi, but sadly we never seen anything interesting on this console apart the almost dead cyclods ievo. :(
Except we did, in form of DSi Exploits. It's just that the DSi sucks compared to for example DS+DSTWO. The only upper-hand it has are the cameras which are crappy anyways.

...And to those who think that a flashcart is safer, it's not. Regardless of how you will boot unsigned software, Nintendo is still fully capable of logging how you did it. CFW is more simple, far more useful and cost-effective, flashcarts are only meant for systems which cannot support modified firmware for whatever reason.

I already posted that in this thread ;)

Lol... More simple? Ok come tell this to me... I played games on my 3ds with flashcart within 5 min from the moment I got my flashcart, and I needed like 1 hour and more to get CIOS on my wii so please... dont tell me what is more simple and what is not...
Also if your console breaks down... Send to nintendo a 3ds that used flashcarts and a wii that has CIOS and come tell me which one will be covered by warranty and which not..... Ok?

I had to pay 90 euro's for a new wii because the menu was broken.
I have also a 3ds that just freeze if you start a game/application and doesn't load date, battery etc, and used a flashcard on it so i hope that one will get repaired xD

edit: oh and when it is froze, the music is still normal =o

We dont have a "better way" for 3DS homebrew, we dont have ANY WAY for it yet, so whats the point of saying that flashcards is better or worst at this time?
I didnt say that something is better than the other... Read... I said that ME PERSONALLY I would prefer a flashcart over CFW. Wasn't that clear? How should I have said it so it would be?

softmod sounds nicer.
is neimod going to release or do we have to prepare our wallets?
I want linux honeslty..
Seriously, what aren't you getting? There is no hack, no softmod NO FLASHCARD. He just CHANGED THE HEADER IN THE RAM. Nothing more. Again, NOTHING WILL COME OF THIS ANYTIME SOON.
