today i looked at the calender and realized that e3 is not to far away, and as i pondered this, i remembered that it was said that the next game in the zelda franchise was in progress and it would be for the 3ds, and i would bet that its gonna be showed at e3, so with this in mind i gotta ask, what do you guyss expect out of the next game in the zelda franchise. iteams, art style, plot, where it would come in the timeline, anything you could possibly want :)

perosnally im hopeing it takes place after majora's mask. twilight princess left a lot of unanswered questions in the air about what happened to oot/mm link and i would like to know what happened. as for art style, i think they should stick with oot"s, but maybe with a little more revamping, because some of the textures in oot3d looked shamish compared to what the 3ds can do..i say make link look as he did in soul calibur two. great detail, yet not to taxing on the hardware. as for weapons and such, im hopeing we see new swords, and perhaps a revival of the biggeron sword. its my favorite weapon in the entire franchise. :)

I am truly hoping that they will give up on the annoying stylus gameplay.

This completely ruined the two DS zelda games for me. I hated them. And then it kinda made me give up on the whole franchise.
If they come back to real gamepad or stick controls, it might work for me. Might even buy a 3DS over it.

OOT 3DS didn't use stylus controls.. sooo? I suspect the next shouldn't.

this i would like some good old Zelda controls on the 3DS game hopefully their do it

@ShadowSoldier
Pretty sure Nintendo said they would make a new Zelda before remaking MM. So it'll probably be shown a little at E3, and it will probably control like OoT3D.

What ruined Spirit Tracks for me was the entire story, lol. Wtf were they thinking?

Oh god me too. It was an actual chore to play through Phantom Hourglass, which only became more bullshit with the stupid temple that you had to constantly go back to. I didn't even bother finishing Spirit Tracks. I really wish they would have made something like A Link to the Past on the DS where you know, D-Pad controls. I mean shit, even the cheat for using the d-pad to move still sucked.

I kinda liked the stylus controls but I do personally perfer traditional controls for Combat and Movement. But it would be nice to use the stylus to aim the bow (seriously OoT3D should have had this.) Or for puzzles and cammera controls but it has to have options (I should be able to choose which I want to use on the fly.) As far as story it would be nice to have something that doesn't take place before another game, the series needs to go forward. Also MAKE EVERY LINK AS FLEXIBLE AS HE WAS IN SKYWARD DAMMIT! I want to be able to do running dash attacks and sneek up on enemies like in SS or be able to kill in werid and funny ways too (like with the goblins. When they had rocks you could use a slingshot to make them drop on themselves or fall of a tight ropes) also re add the ability to pick up weapons from enemines. And I don't mean just clubs or swords. If I shoot a wizrobe out of the sky I want to use his fire magic on his allies (even limited uses for one room only! I just want to kill darknuts with their own swords again :( ) and bring back freeworld. I mean sure OoT didn't have much of one but I would like to be able to do dungeons in any order I wanted and make it as big as in Wind Waker but as fun to explore as Twilight Princess. And no fucking boats. No birds. No trains. No vehicle only travel segements. I want to get knocked off what ever the hell im riding and not instantly die or have to get back before I do. And it would be cool to see the Skyward Sword art style (details have never mattered before and they shouldn't now.) But I would have a few fangasms if Nintendo tryed a Steampunk style (with olden style characters to boot!)

Well, considering the 3DS is only 3d on the top screen I doubt we'll have much if any stylus control for the next 3ds zelda game. They would want the gameplay and Link himself on the top screen with the 3d, not the bottom screen with the touchpad.

Who can tell me the in-game Chronological order of the Zelda series, without going on the internet?
They make sequels, then prequels then suddenly he's small, then suddenly he's big again.
Is it possible to experience the Zelda timeline from start to end?

Honestly, nothing explain it better than this, in my opinion.

I'd be happy if they stuck to cel-shaded graphics for the handheld and more realistic graphics for the home console (ie, the Wii U). I didn't mind the touch controls so much, but I found Spirit Tracks to be annoying and Phantom Hourglass too short. Either way, they need to ditch the vehicles and return to traditional walking/riding/warping.

As for Majora's Mask, I wouldn't mind playing it on the 3DS with updated graphics, etc, but I think I would be a little disappointed if they didn't announce an original game for the 3DS. On the other hand, you would expect MM3D to be a relatively easy game to make as most of the ground work is already done.
