Are any of you actually going to look past the formatting of the news and actually discuss it?

I'm worried since my brother works at Gamestation and the Game Group PLC's rent is due by the weekend.
He pretty much said this month they may not be able to pay rent, next month, they may not be able to pay wages.

My brother needs to get a new job.

My local Gamestation sent us a letter saying they're closing down :( They referred us to the Game store that's near it. Suppose it's the same store really, but it's sad.

I've actually been discussing what's gonna happen to GAME with my friends recently. I'm really hoping they get bought out by GameStop, seeing how Wal-Mart's always
seemed incompetent when it comes to gaming.
You're kidding, right? Gamestop is one of the worst places to buy games from, their employees are clueless and don't know anything about games. Not only that but they have some of the dumbest practices for a company that sells "NEW" things because they open games and take the discs out before selling them. You're better off with walmart, while their employees may know nothing about games at least you get to buy a sealed copy that hasn't been tampered with!

I don't know, I guess it's the bias in me talking since I'm friends with almost all of the employees at my local GameStop. I really don't see the issue with the games being opened though, it's merely a security measure for a store that's revenue relies solely on items with easy to open/steal from cases.

That and the people who work at the Wal-Mart near me are all druggie drop outs that give really poor service.

I would love Walmart to buy out Game, ASDA prices for games are great but they only stock the newest and biggest games. A specialist store backed by them would be heaven.

I'm not especially concerned since I do most of my game shopping online now anyway, it's inevitably cheaper. Just bought Kid Icarus Uprising for a mere £29.99, would have cost me £37.99 in Game. My only issue is it means if the stores close down then a good friend of mine will be out of a job. That sucks, but I guess she'll get a new job soon enough. I just hope it pays well enough to keep her 3DS well stocked. Would be a shame if I had to give up kicking her ass on all the latest games just because the admins cocked up...
