Gaming Creative minecraft server for few hours

im going out and i have unlimited internet, so i hosted this minceraft server

My god was that the most fun I've had on minecraft in forever.

edit - yeah its gotta be gone, still isnt back up. Either the server app crashed, or we succeeded in crashing the entire computer.

edit2 - KingBlank, what hardware is your server running on? I am surprised it handled as much as it got put through as well as it did. Also, ping was absolutely great, no lag issues for me here in the states whatsoever.

i only had 2 gigs of ram allocated to the server, next time ill have 8

CPU-2600K overclocked to 4.9 ghz
RAM-Kingston 8 gigs 1600 hyperX
GPU- GTX 560 ti

Mine runs on a 1.6ghz dual core AMD E350 APU and 8 gigs of ram, but I have it limited to 4. It never even hits 4.

Yeah, just got up, the server crashed about 12:00 (its 8:14 AM now) and it was only using 1.5 gigs of ram at the time.
i might set up a survival server with an auto restart server program thingie.
then yah can crash it as much as you like
ill make a new topic so yah might as well close this.

the program Minecraft Remote Toolkit is what youre lookin for, its a wrapper. works on bukkit and vanilla

Im going to host the server using bukkit, and because im familiar with pail i will prob use that as an administration tool.
the server will have a protected spawn area and a teleporter to a grief free build world, other than that griefing will be encoraged and war too
no nasty though!

make it a no rules survival server.
The best there is, people will have to hide their houses and stuff!

If you want epic crash potential, get Physix.
I took an old map from a previous server, copied the spawn town, pasted it in the sky, then used physix to drop it to the ground.
I even collapsed a building so far that it collapsed the bottom of the map and half the map fell through the bottom of the map, and crashed into the surface of the map from the sky.

Now THAT is crashing a server. Good times.
