Dear friends !

Though most of us - including myself - are too poor to even seriously think of collecting PSP consoles, I think it would be very interesting to have a complete collectors list of all PSP editions ever made. I searched through the net but could never find such a list, that´s why I start this thread. Therefore I copied the versions stated on Wikipedia, set them in a row and added a little bit more from what I know myself, especially about PSP-1000.

This list shows up all original PSP housings ever released. That means, if a PSP with a known housing was released in a bundle it should not be listed. This is because if someone starts to collect he would probably start to grab the consoles itself first since this is a question of money. Anyway if there is interest I would additionally create a seperate list with all bundles containing regular housings.

Up to now I have just very little informations, especially about the limited editions production numbers. For sure there are some more housings and I hope very much that all of you like this idea and will share what they know with us to complete the list. Please feel free to correct anything wrong like wrong color names, numbers, missing countries or whatever. I will correct and update the list then.

There's the PSP-3000 Two-Tone Collection, consisting of a White-Blue and a Red-Black one, too. Not sure what are the stock names of those models.

Ah, didn't know that, just went newer model with a better battery, since they all can run CFW now. What makes it stand out if I may ask?

8B and earlier models of the 2000 are practically unbrickable (Pandora-Ready) while still having access to 64MB RAM, they have a brighter screen then 1000, doesn't suffer from Interlacing (I'd rather see ghosting IMHO) and the only minus of it is that it has no built-in microphone, really.

See the difference?

Pretty sure that 2000's have one of 2 screen types mounted in them, but I'm not exactly sure how to distinguish them, never really looked into it.

Fair play, the 3000 has better contrast ratio, but... yeah... :P A matter of taste.

Hmm, fair enough. My old 1k series bit the dust, and I found out any could run CFW, so I went with newest model. I have a couple of 2ks given to me that need fixed up, buttons are messed up, just havnt sat down to fix them. I'll give them a thorough test. Thanks :)

Well, thanks to all of you - a very first upate is done !

Now we have:
10 x PSP1000
18 x PSP2000
21 x PSP3000
2 x PSPN1000
1 x PSPE1000
--------------------
52 different PSP versions / cases

I left out the THQ one since it is not original from Sony.
Removed "Monster Hunter Freedom (gold silkscreened)" since it seems to be the Golden/Black "Hunters PSP" which is a 3000. (???)
Confusion: There seem to be 3 PSP3000 types looking the same, front black, back red. Are they exactly the same ?

Could you please let me know from which PSPs you definetely know they are Japan only ???
Does anyone know the production numbers ? Up to now there is just a single number in the list .... :(

Also there's the PSP Street, I don't think anyone mentioned that yet.

:P And with good reason might I add.

It is a shame that there were no alternative designs for the GO. The white one was pretty sexy, but I would've liked one with a pattern/design on it in addition to the colours :)

There are two Monster Hunter PSP's:

Monster Hunter Freedom Limited Edition (Gold, PSP-2000)
642688-monster_hunter_psp_super.jpg

Monster Hunter 3rd Limited Edition (PSP-3000 "Extended")
monster_hunter_portable_3rd_psp_1.jpg

As you can see, the latter has a modified analog stick and what you can't see is that it was bundled with an Extended Battery Pack, so both are worth a mention on the list. EDIT: I just realized you have, nevermind. Leaving the photos though. X3

I'm pretty sure that they may have different decals. I know for sure that the Two-Tone Red-Black as well as (Two-Tone Blue-White) is a Japan-Only PSP-3000, not sure about the other one you mean, which I assume would be... spiderman's limited edition?

Could you please let me know from which PSPs you definetely know they are Japan only ???

I'm afraid it's hard to find those ranges if you don't physically posess the units. I'd say you shouldn't really worry about them as long as you catalogue the limited editions. At the end of the day, they all have the same guts inside (except the MH3rd one - that one's "special").

Question: What is so special about the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd PSP? Looks like Turquoise Green to me, am I getting blind in my old days or are there some decals on the back?
