Gaming the next zelda?

Miyamota had said in an 'Iwata Talks' interview that he was interested in using 3D to layer the Light/Dark worlds simultaneously in "A Link to the Past". Anouma said in a more recent interview that he wasn't considering doing another remake after Ocaria of Time 3D.

Hopefully, this all means we'll get an original, top-down, layered-world 3D Zelda game for the 3DS in the near future. I'm really hoping my hunch turns out right -- it'd be awesome if true. :)

i do think its time for a new top down zelda
but i do like both types

3DS classic LTTP would make them lots of money fast is did a worldwide release

id assume tho that another Child Era zelda tho after MM as like they did before on N64 because it was quicker to produce as the engine and models where to hand

So long as Nintendo are making the next Zelda title, the only confirmed information we have is that it's going to be awesome (as ever).

Hmm, never looked at the zelda game in a timeline type fashion, interesting to see.

That "timeline" is a joke, and even Eiji Aonuma said himself that he acknowledges flaws and contradictions in the timeline. I don't see why people are making such a fuss about it, its not even like the games even feel related to each other.

lol im betting the final zelda game, will be an attempt to fix the splits in the timeline that the hero of time made, and you will get to play as three different links, and the only way to reconnect the timelines and put a stop to the curse of the hero vs gannon is for each link to get a peice of the triforce and join together to become one link which bares all 3 triforces. :) sounds like it would be an epic ending.

While that sounds cool, Nintendo would NEVER make it. :(

and then they'd make an alternate timeline detailing that hyrules's afterstory if the links fail.

IT WILLNEVER END
:tpi:

Till Skyward Sword came out we got two top-down zeldas ST and PH. I think we got more then enough to last for atleast this gen.

What I want to see is a new Zelda using the engine their using for Uprising. Also they should bring back the leveling system from Zelda II and retain the weapon upgrade system from Skyward.

1. 3d remake of "Link to the Past"
2. Majoras Mask (obvious answer)
3. Port/new game based off of the twilight princess/skyward sword.

After Zelda II (new Timeline Split)

what happens if Ganon returns (a new Hero Fail timeline)
so
Hyrule is in runis, and a new Hero must must rise to save it, and destory Ganon

Nintendo say they wont make a game after skywardsword so that out i would like to see another one set in the WW timeline and that is not a game set on rails

wat
:| perhaps you meant before?
cause then so many things would be left unanswered in the timeline, and so many oppurtunities for new games would be wasted.
I doubt their really serious about that anyways, no more zelda games before SS? my ass
EDIT: Yeah, you definitely meant before, WW anything set in the windwaker timeline is after SS

what i meant was a game right after SS but before OOT nintedo say it would be too hard

ohhh, yeah, I don't really see a game fitting in there.
Seems more like manga stuff :P

lol not to sound condescending, but i highly doubt nintendo will add another timeline, or add any more complications. everyone already hates the 3 line split (with the exception of me) so adding a 4th and 5th would be insane. i myself would like to see the franchise end someday, and adding more timelines would only delay that. :)
