Hacking Any cool apps for an r4

Besides play games and music and videos what other cool things can I do with nintendo 3ds when I get my r4 acekard 2i?

Emulators. Some good ones are NESds and SNEmulDS. there are also some n the Homebrew bounty section from 2011.

With the exception of NES, GameBoy, and SNES emulators... most Homebrew is completely useless in favor of actual roms, or the homebrews just aren't worth the trouble to even read about.

Moonshell is maybe the one and only non-emulator app to have. If you want to draw, then the Rom Art Academy allows you to do just that and also teaches you how to draw, as well as have background music, and none of those touch screen input bugs you get with homebrew. Don't get me wrong, Colors is nice, but every now and then it will bug out on you. The only real downside to Art Academy is that like real art, you're not allowed to undo paint strokes. However there is a program around that lets you extract your images you draw and save them as image files on your computer to be shared with others. If you're into music editing then you can download Korg. If you want a cook book then there are interactive cook book/trainers. There are language trainers and maybe a whle mess of tool-like applications made into commercial roms that trump half-assed efforts of homebrew.

That's quite true.... Though there are still some great Homebrew out there.

ping what is textris, and it seems like all here is are Emulators (which I didnt get the onboard CPU cart).
and there is nothing that uses wifi or the front Camera do to anything?
Maybe I can suggest to a dev to integrate video chat.
And what about themes? How does this work in the flashcart world?

The front camera can only be accessed by ONE cart on the market currently, but there hasn't been an update in 9 months so the cart is starting to die. It still works on a 3DS/DSi but if it gets blocked in just one update, then it's pretty much blocked because the team seemed to have vanished. Also the cart isn't really worth the price for most people. It's $40-50 (depending on where its bought), and has no wifi/wireless (even for retail games).
Sometimes I use it, as I got mine when it was supported, but now it's a spare cart. The compatibility is great though; I haven't had problems with homebrews/games.
Also you don't need an onboard CPU cart for emulators...onboard CPU carts make it better but you can play (some) emulators without an onboard CPU cart.
It depends on your r4 ( there are a billion clones ) but generally for themes just make a folder called "themes" (without quotes) and your cart's official site should have some downloadable themes, or try googling for themes for you specific cart.

AceKard 2i should support emulators up to the GameBoy Colour. It may be able to run (some) GameBoy Advance files on the 3DS but they would be at 1-3 FPS, so they would be very slow.
