cfg usb loader has been working great.

I just got a wii remote plus but it does not seem to work on the cfg usb loader screen. The remote plus turns off and and doesnt turn back on. if hold down the button on the remote plus it just turns off the wii.

If i use the normal wii mote it works fine. This is a pain when using motion plus required games.
i need to used the wii mote to load the game pull out the batteries and turn on the remote plus after boot.

Is there a way to get the remote plus to work with the cfg usb loader screen?

running
cfg usb loader 70 and d2x on 248 and 247

Um, sounds more like a faulty remote... I got both a remote+ and a normal, both works fine everywhere.
But just in case, try reinstalling cfg (delete config files etc).

Hmm its a brand new remote plus that i just got 1 day ago.

Which files for cfg? I recently wiped everything going from v58 to v70.

Oddly the remote plus works fine at the normal wii menu and in game, it just doesnt work on cfg usb loader screen. I can see its working and I can power off the wii. I have the same problem on the HBC 1.0.8 too.

Hmm i found this : http://www.wiihacks....ot-working.html

Its pretty much saying the newer (Nov+) remote plus wont work in HBC and some apps.

From that thread is says to look under the battery cover

Non-Working Wii Remote Plus Codes:
Black: LMB-RVL-WR/Z-C4
Black: LMB-RVL-WR/Z-C6

Working Wii Remote Plus Codes:
Black: LMB-RVL-WR/M-C0

sigh I have the LMB-RVL-WR/Z-C4, hope something comes up with a fix

There is a much easier way to identify these new Wii Remote Plus - simply look for the FCC ID printed on the side of the controller, entering this at the FCC ID website will tell you who the 'real' manufacturer is:-
http://www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/

So far I have seen all the following official Wii Remote manufacturers:-
FCC ID - Manufacturer (Final Action Date)
Wii Remote
POO-WC45 - Mitsumi Electric Co., Ltd. (07/19/2006)
UMB-WCF7 - Foxconn Technology Co., Ltd. (09/28/2006)
VIYCFS8500 - Hosiden Corporation (02/20/2008)
CWTSBCN1001 - Alps Electric Co., Ltd. (06/11/2008)

Wii Remote Plus
YE5-WRIG - HON HAI PRECISION IND. Co., LTD. [Foxconn] (05/20/2010)
POO-WC62 - Mitsumi Electric Co., Ltd. (05/31/2010)
VIYCFS8510 - Hosiden Corporation (08/06/2010)
BKERVL036 - Nintendo Co Ltd (09/14/2011)

The latest FCC filing is from September 2011 and is apparently manufactured by Nintendo themselves(?) this is the model that has problems in homebrew apps and the dolphin emulator. All you have to do is watch out for any new Wii Remote Plus with an FCC ID of BKERVL036. The code in the battery compartment probably also gives away the manufacturer, but its more difficult to get to and you would have to correlate which letter corresponds to which manufacturer.

From the internal pictures on the FCC website it looks like the bluetooth chip may have changed manufacturers? Perhaps this is the cause of all the problems.

That doesn't really help anybody, since you have to open up the box to see the ID. If you've done that, you might as well just try the remote in the HBC.
Sorry, was just trying to help - wont bother in future.

For reference in the UK Wii Remote Plus boxes are not sealed, so its easy to open the box in the shop and check the FCC ID quickly (You only really need to open one, since all the stock will likely be from the same batch/manufacturer)

I didn't know that, so I take my statement back. That is helpful. In the US they have a plastic seal on the opening so it's easy to tell if a box has been opened.

Regged to post this. Bought a new Wiimote+ (White, LMA-RVL-WR/Z-C4) tonight at Walmart and I cannot get it to sync with HBC, CFG USB, or any games inside of CFG USB Loader (used my regular remote to get into Skyward Sword and was unable to get the Wiimote+ to sync up).

Tried 249 and 250.

Update: I was able to get games inside of CFG USB Loader to work with the controller by going into them with a different controller then going into the home menu controller settings, pressing 1+2 here on the WiiMote+ synced it and now I can use it ingame. HTH

if it were synced properly it would automatically connect when a button was pressed rather than needing to go through the homescreen (the 1+2 method only performs a temporary sync).
I am aware that there have been posts about it:
After some more searching: Yes, PID is definitely different (was 0x0306, now 0x0330). However, changing software (e.g. Dolphin) to recognize this seems to help slightly but it does not make the remote usable, so it appears other changes have been made to the new remotes too...
Yes, it turns out it was my fault. I had thought that going into the home menu and performing the reconnect procedure was all you needed to do to get a new remote to work permanently with your Wii. I got it working properly by following the guide here: http://www.nintendo....e-sync-standard

BTW, I've never used Dolphin with a Wii remote, I was just commenting on what I had read elsewhere.
Most of the other posts contain incorrect information like "libogc doesn't recognize the new pid/id string, wait for a fix" when in reality it doesn't even bother to check them.

That means you haven't synced it to the wii properly by using the red sync button. RTFM.

The remote disconnects when CFG USB loader is accessed and no buttons respond on the controller except the sync button and the power button, which turns off the console. Is that indicative of a false or temporary sync? Because to me it sounds like something new, but then again I'm pretty damn new to this.
