Hi guys, new to the forum :D

I bought a CycloDS with a EZFlash V (to play GBA games) a year ago, and while it gets the job done with my DS, and GBA needs, i hit a bump. I would love to play SNES games on my DS. Anyways, i read that the new DSTWO can emulate SNES and GBA games. However, looking, i cant find a compatibility list. So a couple of questions to my dear members of this forum:
  • Do i need a EZFlash V to run GBA games on a DSTWO Card?
  • How well does SNES games run? i am interested in the more popular games i.e. Super Metroid
  • What other emulators can it run?
  • Where can i buy one? from a trusted site. I bought my CycloDS from RealHotStuff.
Any answer is welcomed, i really want to purchase one soon.

Also, if you can recommend me a better card to buy please do so :D

There's a compatibility list of GBA games on DSTwo on the gbatemp wiki. It's not a complete list, but I don't think you'll find a better list anywhere, anyways.

1) No, all you need is the DSTwo and the emulator (provided on the official website); the processing is done by the DSTwo's on-board cpu
2) I have no idea, as I don't have a DSTwo
3) Other plugin emulators.
4) I don't have much knowledge on online flashcart retailers, so maybe somebody else can do it.

Here are some gbatemp wiki pages pertaining to the DSTwo: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Category:SuperCard

1) you just need the card, read the sticky.
2) If you get catsfc, they run really well. Much better then snemulds on normal cards.
3) It can run any emu a normal card can. There aren't that many emus specifically written for it besides gba, snes, 7800, dos... Maybe a few others.
4) modchipcentral is a great site. Maybe not the cheapest, but they are fast and reliable.

Thanks for the super quick response. I am so close to buying this. I am guessing that since the card is emulating GBA games, it will drain the battery faster, however, i still have my EZ Flash V, i wonder if i will still be able to use that to play GBA games, and use the DSTWO to just emulate SNES games.

Thanks, do you think i can still use my EZ Flash V to play GBA games, and use the DSTWO to just emulate SNES games. Will that work in someway?

I assume you mean the EZ Flash IV (4) not the V (5), which is a slot-1 ds flashcart. From what I know, unlike expansion packs, the EZ4 is an independent gba flashcart, so you will be able to use it, no matter what ds flashcart you use (you don't even need a ds flashcart). You can probably also use the EZ4 on a gba/sp/micro. So yeah, it'll work out fine; just boot up the gba game (which would be the EZ4) from the DSTwo's menu.

I am getting to get it to work, but can't. I have both my dstwo and my ez flash, but from there I don't know where to start playing GBA without emulation.

Any help would be appreciated.
