I just want to let everyone here know that Mayflash has just released the wireless version of the Wii Classic Controller USB adapter, yes it is HID and plug & play, and yes it will work with PS3.

The unit takes 3 triple A batteries (despite the little mix-up on the packaging that says Double A's).

For the moment, the adapter can be bought for $17.90 w/ free shipping on Ebay, but that price may be subject to change.

Can you not do this with a regular Wii remote? I assume it is for Dolphin.

Yes you can. Atleast, dolphin has an option under "attached" for Classic Controller. I dont have one myself so cant verify.
But even so, im 99.99% sure its possible to use the classic controller outside of Dolphin, just like you can with the wiimote. [edit] by only using a normal BT dongle, I mean.

Is there an adapter to use the PS3 controller as classic controller on Wii ? That would be a big improvement over the real one

I don't know about PS3, but Mayflash -does- make an adapter to allow the use of PS2 controllers on the Wii Console... but I don't see why you'd want to when the Classic Controller has, imo, a way better Dpad than Sony's split up diamonds thing they've been using since the PSX. ---- http://www.mayflash....ts/sony/61.html

And I don't have Dolphin... for the moment I have an outdated machine that I am lucky to get up to PSX games and Mame running well on, attempting to run Wii games or GCN games on this machine probably wouldn't go so well. I mostly use this for classic 8bit and 16bit gaming on my tv via Svideo cable and I had made a profile in Joy2Key to play Vindictus (think Wow meets Soul Calibur?) until I got bored of it.

This method is Plug&Play and works through windows HID and an RF connector, the whole Wiimote + Bluetooth + Glovepie method is more expensive and complicated to me as well as others. Plus, every time you want to play using the BT method, don't you have to get your dongle to re-find the controller + wiimote and then you have to reset your Glovepie scripts?

With this, I just flick the power on the adapter to On (I only need to sync the dongle and the adapter once and it will stay connected, even after a reboot), make sure Joy2Key is running (which for me it always is) and then I hit Home to flip into one of the profiles where I have mouse control and from there I can play any game on any emulator I have without even having to get up to use my mouse and keys to navigate the GUI.

I dont know about glovepie, but to sync the wiimote I just tell the BT app to search for BT stuff, hit 1+2, and its synced. Takes like 3 clicks.
