Well I guess there's an update to the Netflix Channel, bootnetflix from the Homebrew Channel no longer works, and starting the new Netflix Channel always ends in a black screen. All my IOSs are up-to-date and everything, wonder what the problem is?

Did it force you to update? Because every time that I load up Netflix, it gives me the option of updating.

My Netflix updated just fine, but the new interface is jerky and kind of annoying to navigate now.

I keep getting Error 200. Anyone knows that that Error is? All of my files should be fine. I'm able to play everything properly. I'm confused :( Netflix was working perfectly before this update, Backup loading still works. This is not cool.

EDIT: Well it looks like Error 200 is a Nintendo error telling me that my router is being a pain in he ass... Ugh! Guess Ill have to do it after midnight. Too many people using the network right now -_-'

So it is safe to update then? Because I am using the regular Netflix channel on my softmodded Wii and it's getting kind of annoying that it asks me to update every time I launch it.

I updated it on our Wii, and everything still works fine. I don't use Netflix on the Wii as often as my sisters, so mainly I know it's different from them. It's a little bit faster but jerkier, it shows the season of the episode when browsing through a TV show's episodes, etc. It doesn't seem to really be BAD, and the update prompt every start up pushed us over the edge.

anyone knows which IOS this new version of Netflix uses? i figured out that my "Error 200" problem is with this so called update. The old version works just fine.

Load Wii Mod and select the following
Advanced Menu > Yes > Any Title Manager > Installed Channel Titles > Scroll down to Netflix > Press + > Exit

Eject your SD card and move the Netflix wad to your Desktop. It will be located in SD:\wad\wiimod\

Open ShowMiiWads and drag the wad file to the window. Check what IOS it uses. Also see if the title ID is still "HCLE"

Has there been a scene release of this new Netflix? I've tried updating, but get various errors from the Shop channel.
So you are complaining that the Shopping Channel won't let you do something incredibly stupid? I can see why that would bother you.

Updating a channel from the shop isn't stupid. I've done that multiple times. Performing a complete Wii system update from Nintendo... now THAT's stupid.

I didn't say any channel, lol. Why don't you start doing a little searching on the Netflix update.

I think I'm confused on the "stupid" part. I've downloaded things from the Shopping channel many times over the years, even with a modded Wii. I grasp the concept of keeping IOSes up-to-date and such. Yet, with all that, the Shopping channel fails to download Netflix, but does download the web browser channel.

There are only a couple threads discussing this new update from my searches. I have read them. If you are meaning the input lag, that isn't relevant to my original question. In my case, the Wii is just used by my five-year-old to watch Netflix cartoons and play one or two games. The Netflix for kids update would be useful in this case. She is slow with the remote and doesn't need to flip through shows at 100 mph.

I hope that helps you. Have a good day.
