Behold the all new Minecraft trailer for Xbox 360, starring none other than the people behind it, the Mojang team. Are they feigning all the excitement in the trailer? Or could Minecraft on the Xbox 360 be the only party game you could ever want or need? Time will tell!

There are some games that should just be for the computer. Just saying.

The trailer is pretty bad, it's directed at the people who already know what minecraft is, not the people who have never heard of minecraft before.

It's a new market, on the 360 and needs to be treated as such.

I love this trailer just a bit too much.

It's funny, and Notch's words at the end are inspiring.

I want to be a developer. I want to start my own studio. And when I go through the whole Mojang story, everything he's been through, and then just seeing him there and seeing his game on the mainstream console market...
It just makes me feel like there's hope. In an industry as big as the gaming one, it's hard to have your voice heard. But Notch has shown that it's possible. And that inspires me to keep going.

Saw this on the live stream of Mincon.

Too bad its not for PS3.

But meh Minecraft on PC owns all.

This is the MineCon trailer.
Oh, so it's the one intended for the MineCon attenders, fair enough.

I just hope they make an actual trailer for new players, otherwise it just becomes a circle-jerk.

I'm pretty sure that anyone who has been on the internet in the past year and isn't in a poverty-stricken 3rd world country knows what Minecraft is.

Well, Minecraft doesn't do a whole lot to appeal to anyone outside of its fanbase. Fortunately its fanbase is rather large.

Like seriously, ever here Minecraft diehards talk to each other about Minecraft? It's like hearing Magic the Gathering players talking about why they loved Caw Blade and why banning Stoneforge Mystic was a huge mistake. Did you understand any of that? Exactly.

Yes, Minecraft doesn't really do much to help new players, like a tutorial, or even marketing to people who haven't played the game. There are wikis, help pages, and other things like that, but it should get proper marketing and things like that in the near future, seeing as it's an actual game now.

EDIT: Read that wrong. Yes, Minecraft doesn't really do much to help new players, like a tutorial, or even marketing to people who haven't played the game. Yeah, you really need to read a Wiki page to understand anything honestly. I'd think for the actual game release (not a so-called beta) they'd add some sort of tutorial or at least pointers on where to start.

In the 360 version, the crafting system will have the recipes/end result right there, like Terraria. The PC version could definitely use it as well, as there are a lot of crafting recipes that are tricky to figure out. The common ones (Tools, torches, etc.) are pretty easy to figure out, but more advanced ones (Dispensers, pistons, etc.) aren't.

Am I the only one who prefers the recipes? I enjoyed playing around trying to figure out the recipes back when I was a noob.
