Dear customer,

Thank you for your email.

We have not yet confirmed a specific date for the next 3DS system update. We hope to have it available before the end of November, this could however change at any time without notice.

Kind regards,

By a message I received from a Nintendo representative a week ago, most of their stuff regarding eShop updates happens, usually, between Tuesday and Wednesday (This excludes new games and game updates).

Sorry, I misunderstood the email. It seems the Ambassador authorization list is updated on Tuesday and is available on Wednesday.

Since all the previous firmware updates happened on Thursday, as you said, it will probably happen on 24th :)

They could always delay it. The last big update was delayed a week (back in May-June).

They don't want to release it if there's even a slight possibility of bugs. Nintendo always plays it safe.
Wouldn't it be hilarious if Nintendo released the update early and something like infinite store credit for everyone just showed up?

And how much shovelware could one possibly need? Sadly, nintendos 3ds e-shop is full of fail. 5-6 cheesy 3ds games and the rest are old gb/c and dsi junk. They may as well start advertising 2600 atari games for 6$ a pop on there and remake them in 3d

I think it'll come on thursday 24th and i really hope the GBA games come with it too. Doubt they will but that would redeem some of my faith in nintendo, Lord knows they need it.

Couldn't agree more, as smart as Nintendo is with certain things they are that dumb when it comes to anything to do with the internet. That store should be a gold mine, instead it is laughable..

Some people (such as me) who didnt own DSi's and such like the cheap and quick games (Im crazy over Army Defender) seeing as how most of my money goes into the big long games that I either get stuck or finish too quickly. But it is true that we need more games like Cave Story or Shante on the eShop.

I heard the update was on the 22nd?

I am not too sure myself.

But yeah, totally agree that the eShop lacks content. Heard that this update will bring support to game demos.

Personally I like the 3D classics stuff. Not necessarily for the gimmicks, I just love Xevious and Kirby's Adventure.

They got a long way to go content-wise though.

There's quite some good DSi-ware games, and some virtual console ones like Gargoile's Quest (prolly mistyped it), among others, the thing is that most of them are over priced but other than that theres quite some nice games there... I've bought several games from the e-shop and all of them are quite fun. =O

Have bought some GB games today and didn't realise how much fun they were - looking forward to game demos (if the update brings it).
