Hacking Help me identify this DS Lite Flashcart

I found an DS Lite with this flashcart, I've added some hombrew apps since but I would like to identify if it's a clone.

• I would like to upgrade it to the latest cuttin' edge firmaware, and ...
• I would like to know if it works on 3DS as I'm planning to buy one.

If it really looks like that picture provided, it's an original r4 (or a 1:1 clone of an original). I'm confused because the file structure seems that of the original, not wood r4's. If you want the latest and best get wood r4. It should only be working with non-sdhc cards (1gb or 2gb cards). It doesn't support 3ds.

If it works with anything bigger than 2gb or wood r4 doesn't work, it's a crap clone.

It's good to know its an original R4 card.

I installed Wood R4 v1.39 succesfully. I'm planning to buy a 3DS so I'm going to research further to choose the best cart option.

Hi again!

I bought an 8GB SDHC card but Wood R4 freezes in the "Loading..." screen.

Is there another firmware that supports SDHC?
Which are the alternatives?

R4 does not support SDHC, only SD (1-2 GB).

It doesn't not support no more than 2gb, that is a hardware problem, not a software.

If you have intentions of getting a 3DS, I gotta say, you will not regret the Supercard DStwo as it will support your SDHC memory, it has the most compatibility-related features (for both system compatibility and game loading), and quite possibly the best first-party development team to trust for future updates.

Acekard and Wood-compatible cards get great support at the moment, but only because individuals not on the official development teams have chosen to take up maintaining them.

oh, If you really like the Wood interface though, an www.r4ids.cn Wood-compatible flashcart is one of the cheapest options. the DStwo kernel's default interface is fairly different.

Well not exactly emulate, but launch.. you are talking about launching Wood as .nds, right? Or is it possible to use Wood as a full on replacement for DStwo's GUI now (like iMenu & BAGplug)?
