Was an exploit of any kind ever made for the GC?
Just wondering. I kinda wanted to use my actual gamecube console for using GC games instead of my wii instead of it gathering dust in a bin.

If you can get hold of an action replay you could put a file on the memory card and use it to boot homebrew. I think while you can play GC games on the wii not many people are that interested anymore in hacking the gamecube.

Hmm I googled it and I keep reading about modchips... although I was looking for a softmod... the AR is the closest I've heard... and I don't quite understand the PSO thing... I'll keep googling

Pretty much the only real option is a modchip. Action replay / PSO (have the game, used the exploit) was an option but sucky and half functional at best. Running copter or a different case is also highly recommended as using tiny disks sucks due to their price.

An SD adapter (5 USD on DX / use the guide on my site) is also a must when doing anything homebrew on the GC.

I saw that the Wiikey Fusion will work on the Gamecube. not sure exactly but I think you need to change the pinout connections that is used for the Wii drive to work on the GC dive, but it works perfect.

i like the XENO GC modchips, they are cheap and easy to install

Anyone know where I can buy some? I seen some for sale around $15 shipped, but have bought one or two years ago for much cheaper. Shipping time isn't important.

Edit: Will try this:

They are becoming harder to get, the price will start to go up.
I have a few, I can sell you one or two. Looking to get $10 per chip plus shipping, PM me if you are interested

I got the Datel SD Media Launcher for GameCube. It only runs Homebrew, but there is a GameCube homebrew which alows you to run games off the sd card :) Google is your friend.

Does Anyone really need to hack a gamecube anymore? like honestly all there is to it is hacking mario sunshine to get all the shines.
