I have 40 files. 20 files begin without ._ and the others begin with it. The ones with ._ seems to be corrupted because of its size (0.00MB) so, i'm not able to install them. In my sd i have only 20 files, but when i use wiimod appears 40 files. I think the error occurs because of these 20 files with ._

I did another syscheck and i got the same results even after installing the 20 files.

Hmm I hadn't noticed that in the screenshot before but that seems to be the problem, the 20 good wads installed fine, the 20 corrupted ones did not. The question then becomes how does it become corrupted like that. I see that you tried reformatting, it still could be that or something else related to you using mac os x. I'm really not sure where the ._ files are coming from but that's the issue. So you don't need to try reinstalling any wads.

No, you should not have any issue continuing. The wads that failed were not needed they were some kind of corruption. It looks like the good wads did install fine and that's what you were meant to do at this step.

Thanks for helping me to solve the problem. I hope you can find what causes it so it won't happen to other people. I'm installing now USB Loader gx 2.2 and apears a good and a corrupted one too. Maybe this will help you to figure what the problem is.

Could you all confirm or disconfirm that I am in a similar position as hars, and that I can continue with the guide at the beginning of this thread? I'd like to point out that I am also running mac os x (lion), and that I noticed the ._ files on the SD card as well.

Here is what I did:

CODE
Wii Mod v2.9 -> Check IOSs -> Check IOSs
Output:
Stub 51
........ mkdir sd:/wad/wiimod == 0

Wii Mod v2.9 -> IOSs
Green: 11, 20, 30, 40, 50, 52, 60, 70, 80, 202, 222, 223, 224, 236, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250, 254
Cyan: 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 28, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 41, 43, 45, 46, 48, 53, 55, 56, 57, 58, 61
Yellow: 4, 10, 16, 51

Those are the only 2 steps i took besides reformatting my sd card several times and trying to manually install all IOSs.

Thanks

Yes, from the looks of it, you are good to continue on.

Perhaps jsky could add a filter where files that begin with ".-" are hidden from the wad manager. Not sure why osx does that.

Yes I think that is the issue, its like some kind of hidden file or something like that. I got the hint that that may be the cause of the problem because when you look into the SD card there are 40 files (or 41 i don't remember) and 20 were failing, so it was whatever ghost/trace/hidden files that occurred through extraction or whatever it may be.

Again, thanks for your help.

Yeah I'm gonna try to add that into the next release. From a quick google search it would seem the ._ files are a kind of os x metadata file or something. I'm not sure if there is anything they can do to ensure they aren't created(I don't have mac to test with) but it shouldn't matter if I just add a filter into Wii Mod.

I need some help.
1. My Wii accidently got it's memory formated (don't ask them kids).
2. I still have Prii loader on it. I know becasue I can still the do the "Hold reset button or GC controller thing to get there".
3. I'm on 4.2U.
4. I lost the HBC and all my other stuff .
5. I tried to do the Hackmii installer again and its says there are no usable or vulnerable IOS installed on this Wii.
6. So I tired to do a Wii update to get to 4.3U. So I could start a fresh HBC and Hackmii stuff. Went through the Metroid other M and the regular updating method and both won't work. Got Error Code 32004.

So what should I do gentlemen?

Guess what I figured it out.
Got to 4.3U followed the steps on the first page and now I'm backing up the Nand file thingy and everything seems to be running smooth.

Use modmii to download recommended cios (Open modmii , go to page 4 , type rec then press enter , type d & press enter) . Copy the WAD folder it makes to the sd . Then get mmm from here or modmii & go to remove stub option & remove the stubs then manage wads & install the cios wads.

Or he can just follow the guide for the topic to which he replied. Either this guide or modmii will fix this, but you are having him do unnecessary steps. In this guide all he has to do is follow the "Installing cIOS" section (as long as he already has hbc 1.0.7 or higher, which if he doesn't is included).

Either way, the differences are moot for 99.9% of people. This guide uses 4.2 just to make it simpler (less filepacks/less of a chance of someone downloading incorrect files).
