So with Apple's sales soaring because of the iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0, iCloud and one of its most popular Siri Voice Recognition technology is being ported to the iPhone 4

Hacker Troughton-Smith (@stroughtonsmith) an iPhone developer/hacker is working along side 9to5Mac (exclusive video on website) on this port

right now they have it running on the iphone 4 it recognizes your voice and dictation on keyboard

the only issue that they are running into is connecting the internet and Apple's servers to recognize commands and to answer questions via network

another problem is that it is running sluggishly on the iPhone 4 which is because due to a special GPU that was built to run iPhone 4S's Springboard and Siri itself

with this conclusion the iPhone 4's A4 processor can handle Siri which like Apple has done before with iPhone 3G not allowing for wallpapers to be used

stay tuned to more information as the porting progress continues of Siri, maybe it will be ported next to iPad and iPod (A4 processor or higher doubt the 3GS can handle this) on iOS 5.0

holy shit man can you decrease the size of the image, it's twice as big than my screen

anywho on topic I knew this was going to happen just hope they can get it to run well on the iphone 4 [depending on Rodger's upgarde fee I might not get an iPhone 4s]

As stated from the guy that is working on this's Twitter:
Siri could run fine. Slowness is purely cause I had to delete the GPU driver

So it looks like iPhone 4 users will be able to fully enjoy Siri come next Jailbreak. :yay:

EDIT: Another Quote

the GPU has nothing to do with Siri. Siri doesn't use the GPU. Siri would work just as fast on the iPhone 4 as 4S

Go knock yourself out. Siri was only made "exclusive" to the iPhone 4S because Apple had no other way to market it to the people that don't understand what difference the A5 chip makes; if that didn't come through there would be no media support, and nobody would by it, and the device will become the iFlop 4S. Siri works perfectly on the iPhone 4, or so claims the guy who ported it, even down to the voice recognition. Only issue is that Apple is blocking off access to their Siri servers from anything but the iPhone 4S, making Siri very much useless on anything but that.

I think this is fake, They dont prove at all that this is running on a 4 not 4s
They don't need to. The iPhone 4S introduces an extra crease to the antennagate going around the phone above where the silent switch is to fix the widely known antenna issues on the iPhone 4. As clearly seen in the image of the original post, and in the YouTube video, there is only one crease towards the bottom of the device, and not the two creases (1 on top, 1 on bottom) on the iPhone 4S, thereby proving it's the original iPhone 4.

'guess that's the only way you can tell the iphone 4 from the 4S physically,
the addition of the upper creases.
