It looks alright, but my problem with it is that, well... a headset doesn't really mesh with a portable system. You would only really be able to use this when at home; it would be a bit difficult to use this in public.

And yeah, the $25 price tag is a little too much. Just a bit.

Unless Power A got wind of a plan to put a Skype app on the 3DS. ;)
Well Sky player 3D has been confirmed so they could've misinterpreted that. Would be a huge mistake on their part though.
Maybe the system update in November will do something to promote this. =/

Someone else will make better headphones for the 3DS. Nintendo really needs to go back to design school. Moreover, Why is the microphone separate?

Why are people saying online isn't in MH3G? To my understanding, this isn't confirmed or denied yet as far as I know.

You people are fools. Not to mention cheapasses. $25-$30 is expensive for a headset+mic? Have you seen the crappy Microsoft-brand ones for the 360? 1 horrible earpiece and horrible mic, $20. Turtle Beach headphones are what, $50? No, most likely more. The DS headset was...$20, originally? Not to mention these, hopefully, will be usable for more than one thing.

Let's put it another way. To get a non-shit-tier-quality earbud headphones, you will be spending at least $20. At least. And those are earbuds. Get a good pair of over-the-ear headphones, and you'll be paying more. These are meant to be a combo. A microphone and headset, the microphone being detachable.

And finally, they look perfectly fine, you people are being overly critical about this, without realizing this price is perfectly fine.

That's insulting. Because our opinions don't agree with yours we're instantly fools? That's pretty obtuse.

I don't like how they look, and unless you can prove that they look good, which I'm sure isn't humanly possible, then I will remain stern on that point.
I don't really care about the price. It's irrelevant if I'm not going to buy them anyway.

Everything said so far points to that.

Also, there's no need for them to make an online server for a game famous for local wireless/ad-hoc. Monster Hunter Tri had online because it makes sense, since it was on consoles and such.
