Offically licensed Nintendo 3DS Headset on the way

Nah, I don't see a need to it. The previous headset for the DS only worked with the Pokemon games, if I am correct.

EDIT: man, those speakers are big. this will surely eat the juice up rather hungrily. i'd rather use an in-ear plug headset, much more energy efficient. noise cancelling too.

I like square headphone covers too, but I wouldn't get these until there were multiple titles out that supported chat that I wanted to get.

It seemed more like KingVamp was saying that the current 3DS model was already decent. But I guess the post can be read both ways.

I don't really like the look, but if it's comfortable, it's fine with me. The detachable microphone is a great idea, and I'm hoping this leads to more games with voice chat. I don't think there are any currently out. If people like it, I'll definitely get one. Heroes of Ruin is confirmed to use the microphone. I hope they make games that you can talk to random people with (Like XBL or PSN).

I had one... and must have used it once with Pokemon. That thing was a joke though.

After looking at the pictures for this headset, I would love to get one... if they implemented voicechat in some more games. Or Skype. That would be cool.

Well that was different, that was something you sat on your TV and talked into, while this is a headset so you don't have to smash your 3DS into your face to let others hear you.

I'm not saying that it will be used, though.

i would like to be able to communicate in any form with the 3ds.... that would be fun....still waiting and im sure i will be for a while.

Honestly I'm getting tired of the way Nintendo handles communication and friends on the current gen of consoles/handhelds..... All making it so hard and expensive (it's not that expensive but just the fact it costs money annoys me) to communicate with your friends, just via voice chat. When you read that the PSV will have an app that enables cross-game chat from day 1, you notice how hard Nintendo is making it. Again, because with the Wii you had to buy the Wii Speak thingy, another accessory that only 3 games used?
Getting really sick of it actually.
