Meh.

Depending on your background noise level, the speed at which the icons in the 3DS' Menu moves differ. Louder background=Faster spinning 3DS Icons.

Yo babes.
While playing a DS game, press HOME.
Too bright? Hold start and press down.
Too Dim? Hold start and press up.
Too much power being saved? Hold start and press right to keep saving power, or left to waste power.
I didn't know that. O.o Thx.

Maybe I should have look at the manual.

There are a total of 60 icon slots in the menu. You can change the view of your icons by pressing the two buttons on the right-hand side of the brightness button (the small one zooms in, the big on zooms out).

Not really a secret, but I didn't see it mentioned so..

This secret is more of a myth busting than anything.

Myth: There is only one angle to see 3D on the 3DS.

What if I told you there were actually six? Let's try it. First turn the system right or left until you see the black bar artifact pass twice. You should see the 3D come back into focus! Now turn the system upside down. You should be able to see the 3D just as well as normal -- just upside down. The 'turning to the side' trick still works here too. That adds the total number of possible 3D viewing angles to six! No more 3DS neck brace jokes please!

This works on some images better than others, and it's not practical for gaming, but it is fun little secret to know.

One more little secret (best viewed on a still image). This will let you clearly see the two distinct images that comprise a 3D image -- without eyestrain or artifacts. Turn the 3DS on the side and hold it at the bottom. Then rock the system toward or away from you. You should be able to see the two images clearly without eystrain or weird 3d artifacts.

When using the ? AR Card in Star Pics, if you hold it in your hand and tilt it in a north-easterly direction, it's possible for Kirby to show up instead of Mr. AR. But it must constantly be in that exact position. It's more of a glitch, but it's funny.

Another obvious but just incase, you could blow into the mic at the menu to make the app title on the top screen spin.
Actually it spins if the mic registers noise. Louder noise = Faster spin. Also, as it gets faster, if you turn the sound up, you hear a whoosh sound effect.

Sorry, didn't see this before.

You can see the 3D vertical if you tilt your head too.

I don't know if it has already been discovered (because I didn't read the all the answers

), but when playing with the clock in the AR Games, if you get too close to the cuckoo it will hit your screen. If you let it hit too many times, your screen will break and the cuckoo will explode!

Fortunately you don't need to buy the clock again.

Also, sometimes a chicken comes out instead of the cuckoo. I don't know if this is random or not though.

the MAY 2011 NP has some 3ds secret (as well as some the NP team mii QR codes , with a someone from NoA QR code as well)

that one is in the NP
to add to that, if you keep doing it
cuckoo will be replaced with a indestructible metallic bird

Yy, now we can make our own style cards and print them out, anything can be on them as long as it has the original colour of the cards, sweet

More trick: On the Home menu, highlight the DS card icon, shake the DS and see that happen. You can even blow into the mic to get the same effect. Other apps have the same effect

The Pokedex 3D app takes better 2D pics than the official photo app!
(note: the "Pokemon/Nintendo Â" stamp isn't applied in non-pokemon pictures)

Advantages.
-Less blurry 2D pictures. (because of faster screen refresh -- less CPU-taxing app?)
-No 2 second shutter lag! Instantaneous!
-saved as widescreen jpeg in sd card (viewable in photo app)
-very simple, fast interface

Disadvantages:
-A little darker than official app in low-light conditions.
-lower res, 400x240 vs 640x480, saved in sd card (pokedex 3D looks clearer though, and that's key)

Try it for yourselves and see what you think!

If you user Apple branded earbuds, and press the -, and + buttons at the same time it will pause the 3DS' Music Player. Pressing them again will resume the music.

I just discovered that you can upload 3D pictures with the 3DS browser.
Go to a side where you can upload images or files and click the upload button.
This will open a menu that looks similar to the photo channel.
Select a picture and it will be uploaded as jpeg that's viewable in 2D for normal browser, but in 3D for the 3DS browser.

After you record some sound bites if you let it sit on the selection menu and don't touch it for about a minute or two the two birds will start yapping all the sounds.

i prefer the dsi one where it played super mario, it's a shame it's not on the 3ds.

i kinda noticed that the 3DS' headphones jack supports controls like these, probably when the official or any 3rd party branded headphones come out. i found out about this while i was fiddling with the jack with music playing. sometimes, i hit something inside along the contacts that triggers the music to stop or to play. not recommended though, as you could do some damage inside.

does this exploit work on something like flickr? i mean, upload pics that show up as 3D on the 3DS? because it would be so~ fucking awesome if it does. can't try it right now, net's too funked up to work with as wifi. heck, if it works on something like mediafire and other uploader sites, it would be cool. it's just like hosting your own gallery, without the actual gallery.

It not an exploit, but an intentional feature.
I don't have a flickr account, but it should work if flickr doesn't use Flash to upload images.
