I am shocked this hasn’t been posted yet and I am not going to sugarcoat it. Trump is attempting to bribe the American voters with a $5,000 check if the GOP wins the midterms. This is the very corruption Trump claimed happened to him. Trump claimed that the Democrats “rigged the election.” Conspiracy theorists claimed people were paid to vote. Trump is openly admitting and attempting to rig the election and pay people to vote.

Not only is this the most obvious display of corruption, but you can already count on him not keeping his promise once the midterm elections are over.

I don't know if this really deserves it's own thread. Honestly, anything that demented weirdo says should be kept from the public and dealt with in silence by lawyers and judges. The best way to deal with a narcissist is to deny him attention.

It's probably just easier to keep this daily/weekly corruption and illegality in the single thread. Things will just get out of control if we make a thread for each and every time he breaks the law.

One thing that a lot of the news sites aren't talking enough about is in one of his speeches, he had everyone raise their hands to literally take a pledge to cheat.

“I pledge to the greatest president in the history of the United States, that loves us so much he can’t even breathe, … that I will go out with my family, my friends. I’ll do it any way. I don’t care if I’m registered or not. I’m going to try and cheat like hell, like they do,”

In the history of US politics, no politician has ever told their supporters (In this case cultists) to go out and cheat. Hell, probably in WORLD politics no person has openly told their supporters to go out and cheat. The desperation is palpable, and you'll never see anyone be able to defend his bribery and open calls to cheat.

As easy as it is to point to things that Trump has done and compare them to Nazi-era tactics, I don't think there was ever a time they had their fellow Nazi's hold up their hands and pledge to cheat in their elections.

Yeah, we are in a period where they will do anything to stay in power, even out in the open. It's already being reported that Muskrat disguised a website meant to report voter registration status, but had made it essentially steal voter information. If you weren't quite sure about Musk tampering with the last election, this should be even more evidence towards that.

He has crossed a line, that's why they've gone silent. Easier to ignore it than defend it.

You'll never find someone less informed on what Trump is up to, than a Trump supporter.

To pick a single recent bit of corruption, the CFTC has used emergency powers to block court orders against prediction market Kalshi.

This is a...strange use of emergency powers. The last time they were used was in 1980, due to a trading ban with the Soviet Union. But I guess its just really important they intervene now to...preserve access to gambling?

I am sure there is a perfectly valid explanation, other than the one that Donald Trump Jr sits on the board of Kalshi, along with several other Trump investments in prediction markets.

But, I mean, the CFTC is an independent agency. It even has a rule that no more than three out of five commissioners can be from the same political party to try and prevent it becoming overly partisan. Its totally fine.

...the CFTC is currently 100% Republican, staffed by a single Trump appointed chairman. Trump just hasn't appointed the other four to get around that rule.

Trump supporters are not going to hear about this on Fox News. Even actual news companies can barely keep up. What possible explanation could a Trump supporter give to explain why an independent nonpartisan agency is now run entirely by a Trump supporter and deploying unprecedented emergency powers to desperately protect Trump investments? Better to not even try.
