Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look - now on YouTube

The long awaited Grand Theft Auto VI Extended Look gameplay trailer has finally dropped on YouTube. As you all know, it had dropped 6 hours earlier on Netflix, and was obviously ripped and reposted on YouTube by dozens of accounts, but we've chosen to embed the official Rockstar account video below instead.

Have you watched the video? What do you think? Pretty impressive graphics for a base PS5 game, isn't it?
 Link to the video (if embed doesn't work)

i'm kinda hoping that the game launches full of bugs like Ubisoft does, just to teach all those digital pre-order (ffs people are so stupid) a nice lesson.

Besides that, i looks the way i was expecting. Still, if no physical version will be made, this will be my very 1st time missing out on a GTA.

I was blown away watching this.

I think because I had the pleasure of growing up with video games, starting on the Atari 2600 and ZX Spectrum, it really helps me to appreciate what they've achieved here. It's simply mindblowing. I can't even comprehend the systems, manpower and workflow needed in order to achieve a virtual world like this. It just seems lightyears ahead of anything else on the market. We all knew it would be; but it still doesn't dull the impact after seeing actual gameplay (took them long enough though).

Say what you will about GTA, you may not like it, may not care for it but you can't look at this and not realize the achievement of a product like this and the impact it will have on the industry and millions of players lives.

Still haven't preordered (I begrudged doing so without gameplay) but I am tempted to now.

And fucking finally - NO AUTO AIM! I'm so glad they removed it and have reworked the braindead gunplay of previous GTA's. Now I just hope the controls and animations are a bit more responsive than V but it still looks quite weighty in the trailer so we'll see.

Because they know the greatest games of all time run at 30fps or lower, like Ocarina of Time.
That has got to be the most idiotic statement I've seen on this site. Apples and oranges kid.

So... You actually believe the circa 2020 shitty PS5 can do THIS game at 60 FPS?

Really???!!!

Rockstar just spent by far the most in history on this game, delayed it by more than a year to optimize it, gave it the best visuals ever, and you are whining because of 30 FPS. 🙄
Yes. Plenty of games offer options to reduce the visual load to give higher frame rates. For a game that supposedly costed $2B to produce, I would've thought that feature would be a given.

The booby trap scene at the end was very surprising too, it looks like the first case of proper gore and dismemberment since GTA III.
You can see the dismemberment in the leaked video as well. At the Gas station bit, where he stole the pick up truck and then ran the guy over multiple times.

Right, I forgot about that! Definitely looked more dramatic in the official video, though.
Oh yeah for sure, but the reason I like leeks better is how they shown the open world being played. Because I know, I will be spending countless hours goofing around and ignore the story missions.

I was going to say that the leak confirms the feature is not exclusive to scripted scenes, which I was a little worried about at first. I'm sure rampages are going to be quite fun with a shotgun!

I agree, I have never preordered any digital game before in my life, but i admit they suckered me into it this time. I like the fact I can preload it on my xbox ahead of time, and not have to wait for it to download the day of release, esp since its gonna be a huge file size probably. I also bet downloads of the game on release day are gonna struggle because millions will be downloading it, that day.
I was definitely gonna buy it any ways, so oh well, only a few months ahead of the release day.
It's like one good part, and then the rest is a pile of shit.

Remember when everyone said Nintendo was gonna usher us into the digital $80+ era?

How times have changed.

They did, Mario Kart World was priced at $80 long before GTA6's price was revealed. Just to pay for wasted dev time on the empty open world, too. Much as I'm indifferent toward GTA, we know that won't be an issue in this game.
