Are you excited for GTA6 and are you going to buy it upon release?

I refuse to buy woke garbage and have it on any of my systems!
I won't even pirate woke garbage. Anything with "pushing the message" or weird ugly characters of a deviant nature will never get played on any of my systems. (unless if course it invoves shooting them in the face with a shotgun or flamethrower).

At release? Naaaah, not likely. Only if its cheap... and it wont be ; 3

wow, you really suck, but i guess the "Reform UK" thing in your displaypic should have been enough of a hint of THAT.

vice city is my favorite setting af all the GTAs
but GTA was always kind of a team game, everyone in our friend circle has a favorite kind of mission, i am more of a driver kind of guy.
i played gta4 alone for like an hour then got bored
i bought a cheap ps3 gta 5 - died on the first mission then got bored again

I still have yet to play 4 and 5, lol. I own 5, but have no desire to play it. I played and beat GTA 3/VC, but got tired of GTA midway through SA. I just remember ragequitting some mission with a nerd, and really bad controls, getting burned out, and never picking the game back up.

To answer your question, nah.

I haven't really decided yet. I think Rockstar has likely lost their soul and that it probably won't be up to par with GTA4/5 despite the hype and massive budget. I have no interest in multiplayer, and I'm not sure Rockstar has much interest in single player given how much GTA5's multiplayer prints money.

If it was coming to PC, I'd consider getting it during the first major sale. Since it's not, I'll probably play something else until it does come to PC. Not looking forward to whatever DRM and account linking BS they are going to include though.

I do have a PS5 (not a Pro), so I might still get it before PC release if the reviews are good and people are genuinely talking about it being really good. It will probably play at like 30fps/720p on the original PS5 though, and I'll probably only make it through like 30% of the campaign before losing interest and then not want to restart it on PC or finish it on PS5.

As we get closer to GTA6 im interested to hear everyone's thoughts on the game. I am kinda bummed that the game isnt releasing on PC initially when they have waited so long to release the game. I don't think I am going to get it until it comes out on PC but will probably borrow one of my friends PS5's and swap them with something to play it a couple weeks after they have played it.

The media keeps hyping up the game like its going to break huge numbers and I just don't see it getting the draw that GTA5 did initially until they release it on PC. Am I wrong? Are you getting the game when it comes out? If the price for a standard edition is $100 is that going to deter you from buying it upon release? There are just alot of variables I think towards it being wildly successful but I could be wrong.

No and no. I would rather have a GTA IV remake in 4K. I really dislike the multiple protagonists. I like Vice City. I need to see some raw gameplay. I need to see the downgrade. I don't believe the in-game stuff is Base PS5. If so, then insanely good job Rockstar and then I will buy but for now, nope. I'm waiting.

And @Kraken_X has a good point about the multiplayer, I don't care about GTA Online at all or about FiveM/RP servers. So I that is a worry also, since they seem to aim more towards that than single player. And @Kraken_X also has a good point about the resolution and framerate. Again, time will tell.

not a fucking chance and expect all the good features to be gutted from SP ONCE AGAIN
thats where modders can bring back the fun and hopefully tap into what rockstar might gut. I remember when hot coffee came out it was so cool that they were able to mod in a minigame into a obscure subroutine in the game that made it feel like you were playing leisure suit larry for a second lol.

thats where my excitement for the game comes from. as long as it doesnt have some crazy denuvo type system that eliminates modding capabilities there is some potential for the game that wont be at release time for the game but the months and years after.

I borrowed a PS3 back then for GTA IV, and it ran terribly. I later played it on PC. Then I got my own PS3 and tried GTA V, which was such a mess. I ended up playing that on PC as well. With RDR2, I waited a long time until I could play it on PC. I guess I’ll do the same here, unless the PS5 version is completely solid, but I’m not really interested in a 30 FPS game anyway.

Also, regarding wokeness, I think it’s too early to tell if it’s actually woke. GTA has always been a parody of american culture, so it will probably seem like a woke game at first, but time will tell whether it’s genuinely parodying it or not.

The trailers I've seen featured nothing but characters that I immediately wanted to shoot in the forehead. I certainly don't want to play as any one of them, nor interact when them as NPCs. They are even less likable than Traitor Trump supporters, though shooting the latter would be far more satisfying.

I hope its at least as good as GTA V. I mean the single player mode. I played a lot of the online mode but i guess i'm saturated because i could not care less about this game online mode.

But the single player /story mode i really hope it lives up to the hype.

Also i have doubts it will run at 60 fps on modern consoles. I am quite curious to see the Switch 2 version, since its basically a Xbox One X on the go.

Edit: i'm not buying on day one. And i will totally skip this game if i cant get a physical copy .

Edit2: Typos. My English is shite :/

TBH the trailers look pretty good, lots of action and probably a good storyline. But the price......ffs, It's going to be cracked soon after it comes out so may as well play it on a steam machine if you're going to get one. With the price of games being so high it's going to be worthwhile buying a steam machine and playing cracked games on, by the time you would have bought a few games you're basically going to get your money back on the initial outlay and you can always sell it anytime you want.
