huh.
@Foxi4
This wasn't racist against black people right?

GOP idiots really are so stupid they'll even spell it out.

Not all Republicans are enthusiastic about the push to redistrict — at least based on the map currently under consideration.

That map was drawn by Adam Kincaid, the director of the National Republican Redistricting Trust, an organization that supports the Republican Party in redistricting efforts across the country.

It would split Greenville and Spartanburg counties between the 4th and 5th Congressional districts.

The City of Spartanburg would end up divided.
...
Spartanburg County Republican Party chair Frank Tiller said he thinks the Spartanburg split is a bad idea. He believes that having a single member of Congress represent the community is important.

"Isn't that how we live?" he said. "We don't have two mayors. We don't have two county councils. It will add to confusion and chaos if we're split down the middle."

In lieu of a 50 minute video, there are various other articles summarising this. But hey, these arguments do sound interesting. They don't even have a Section 2 district, none of this should apply to them.
Regardless of the underlying motivations (they have also spelled out that they think this redistricting is just too risky and might end up giving Democrats more seats!!!) it seems a pretty good case against this map. It's not hard. The map sucks.

So its a shame Trump disagrees with them. Behold the conflict between the loyalists and the last even self-servingly rational Republicans.

>Senator has something to say about the *effects* of the ruling after the fact regarding increased black voter turnout and explicitly states the SCOTUS did not consider it
>This has something to do with the motivation of the SCOTUS

Your own video disproves your assertion. Don’t quit your day job.

I confess I have not watched the full video, but from skimming it with subtitles, I can't find a reference to suggest "they" is SCOTUS.
His broader topic is South Carolina and it's new map specifically, and earlier in the video he is pretty dismissive of the idea that the Lousiana decision is relevant to South Carolina, which doesn't even have a section 2 district.

He is probably referring to the people who drew SC's proposed new map, and seems to think their main concern was increasing Republican control. He just thinks it won't work, along with a host of other complaints about the communities it splits up.

It’s hard to tell without any context, yes. I’m just taking his word for it that the video is about the SCOTUS decision, but it doesn’t seem to support the point he’s trying to make.

I read the post as just pointing out an example of racism. Massey is citing increased Black voter turnout as a bad thing, which is not a great look regardless of which particular decision it is being applied to, Lousiana or SC.

very definition of racism here if it was up to the gop we'd be back to jim crowe era

It’s hard for me not to draw a connection to the SCOTUS decision automatically when we’re in a thread about the SCOTUS decision. If it’s just a random interjection apropos of nothing then fair enough.

>accused me of moving the goalpost
>makes an entire post where the goalpost is all over the place
Look man, I don’t care about your crash out. My point is the Republicans are the party supported by the worst of the worst and people might want to consider reflecting on why that’s the case.

Okay, so first off, I don't use Facebook enough to be sure of this but you may want to link directly to the source rather than "share" it.

That share link looks like it automatically shows your real name and profile picture. I would recommend changing that.

Secondly, I just want to make fun of the video format where a guy will sit down in front of a camera and just nod at it while reposting someone else's content. I mean, I think I may have to turn MAGA myself now that someone has nodded at someone else saying "Donald Trump has a black friend".

...I was going to tear into that a bit more, but honestly I don't need to. Like, this is a meme. A trope, even. There is a Wikipedia page of that phrase. Is this satire?

It's truly amazing when someone posts an argument that is so clearly hinging on ignorance. All the posts like "ever notice how X never used to be an issue?" and, no, they just didn't hear about it and think their personal experience is how the entire world works.

Like, as a non-American, I was blissfully unaware of Trump until he ran for President. So I assume this video wants me to believe that since I never heard of Trump before then, that any accusations of racism must have also been suddenly generated then, for presumably political purposes.

Unfortunately I have object permanence, and an argument that is so bold to claim that there weren't even allegations is disproven by a one-second Google. I mean, he got sued by the Department of Justice in 1973 over this! There is another Wikipedia page! This isn't hard!

Your video is not aimed at convincing anyone. It is aimed at reassuring those who already believe. Maybe do your own research instead of regurgitating fourth-hand cringe.

TL;DR: Central Park.

lol, dude, you are in a cult and actively trying to deny reality because you can’t accept that the KKK, Neo-Nazis, and White Nationalists/supremacists primarily and openly vote Republican. You are trying to point to shit from the 19th century as if it’s relevant to today. Plus, you threw in some random rant about trans women because I guess you think I care or something. I ain’t watching that clip because I literally don’t care. As I said before, I am just pointing out information that you can find through a simple google search. If you don’t like that information, consider reflecting on how to change it. Calling me “brainwashed” doesn’t change reality

You can't prove a single thing in that video false, because it's all true. In 1973, Fred Trump was still responsible for it. He gave Donald Trump the title of President, but FRED Trump was the chairman, and didn't end his ownership until 1997.

So how about taking your own advice and doing YOUR own research?

Buddy you posted a video of some weirdo monologuing at their phone as proof and you think you're in a position to tell others to do research? You, the guy who believed an obvious Photoshop because the rapist said it was real?

You gotta really reflect here. And please, no weird transphobic crashing out again.

You can read the man's best seller book too. https://www.amazon.com/How-Democrats-Won-Blacks-Physical/dp/B0GRRNLM1H

It gets deep into what you lot don't seem to understand with the "party swap" lie, and even answers many of your "gotcha" questions you keep asking me, and strainght-up state as fact.

And you could also ignore the young dude's reaction in the other video, and and actually LISTEN to the interview. Everything you believe about Trump is wrong. Period. And about the Republican party as a whole, while you're at it.
