I have a modded Switch 1 (CFW) and a clean Switch 2. I want to use PKHeX to gen legal competitive Pokémon, get them into Pokémon HOME, then into Champions — without going online with my modded console. Is this possible? What's the cleanest way to do it?

---

## My Setup

- Switch 1 — modded, CFW (Atmosphere), offline only, never goes online
- Switch 2 — completely stock, clean Nintendo account, this is my online console
- PKHeX on PC — I know how to edit a save and pass the legality checker
- Pokémon Scarlet/Violet on both consoles

---

## The Workflow I'm Thinking Of

**Step 1 — Edit on PC**
Export my SV save from Switch 1 using JKSV → edit Pokémon in PKHeX on PC → pass legality check → export the save file back

**Step 2 — Inject back into Switch 1**
Use JKSV to inject the edited save back into SV on Switch 1 — all offline, no internet needed

**Step 3 — Get them to Switch 2**
??? This is where I'm stuck. Save data is console-locked so I can't just copy it over. What's the cleanest method here?

**Step 4 — HOME → Champions**
Once the Pokémon are in SV on Switch 2, send them to Pokémon HOME, then pull them into Champions from there

---

## My Questions

1. Is Step 3 actually possible without putting my modded Switch 1 online?
2. Is local trade between Switch 1 and Switch 2 (both running SV) safe enough, or does local play still phone home?
3. Has anyone done this full pipeline successfully with Champions specifically — do the Pokémon pass Champions' legality checks on import from HOME?
4. Any ban risk on the Switch 2 / HOME account from receiving traded Pokémon this way?

Cheers

Okay so if you're entirely unable to connect to online (not even local online) on the modded switch, i'm pretty sure you're out of luck. but i will say there's websites that i've used that do basically what you want to do and i used one to clone a couple legit pokemon for champions myself (just so they can be in their base game AND in champions at the same time) and i've yet to be banned. i'm unsure if i'm allowed to link these sites but if i am, i will share.

Ok feel free to PM me

Local play is ad-hoc wifi between units, it's totally safe and offline
Can you explain a bit more in detail , how to get the pokemon into Champions?

Oh, it's quite simple actually. Just some easy steps:
  1. Buy a second legal copy of whatever game you're needing to move Pokemon out of
  2. load both games on each system, and make sure both saves are at the point where you can trade
  3. Using local communication, trade the legitimate Pokemon you're wanting to put in Champions from one system to another
  4. On the Switch 2, transfer the Pokemon to Pokemon HOME using the profile linked to the Nintendo Account you use for HOME
  5. Assuming all checks clear without issues, add the Pokemon to Champions.
It should be noted that the profile you trade the Pokemon to and the profile that has your Nintendo Account don't have to be the same - you can make a throwaway profile to put all the Pokemon in and then load HOME through your Nintendo Account profile, select the profile that has the Pokemon, and just move the Pokemon into HOME. This is important, because you can't have the same profile + Nintendo Account running two games simultaneously on separate systems.

It should also be noted that all these steps assume that you already have a legal copy of the game and need a second one for local trading (i.e. wanting to preserve a save on one system), and that all Pokemon are caught/obtained legitimately. You're on your own for situations involving pirated copies and genned Pokemon.

Perfect solution mate 👌 thanks

Do you know if I can gen on the modded Switch 1 and then upload to home ?

Or do you know if

I can use a downloaded rom on the modded Switch and the legitimate game on switch 2 to do local trade ?

I plan to get another switch and use my banned one for "training" as long as you do'nt have absurd stats etc etc you should be fine i recommend if using sc/vi pkhex a lot of gold bottle caps for hyper training trade over your legit copy pokemon tp Hyper train trade back then upload to home rinse and repeat just don't manually edit mon in pkhex only items, you can also use the legality check feature of hex to make sure everything will pass

I don't dabble in Switch 1 piracy/modding, nor do I dabble with genned Pokemon*. I provided the steps to do it with legal copies and legitimate Pokemon, as that is what I am legally allowed to provide. You're on your own for the rest.

*(Anymore. I did in Gen 5/6 when you needed event Pokemon from previous games to get the Shiny Charm, but have since stopped bothering since almost all event Pokemon are currently obtainable in one form or another (I believe Zarude is one of the few exceptions), and the National Dex is no longer required for the Shiny Charm regardless. Only time I messed with genned Pokemon since was evolving any I got in surprise trades in SV and then releasing them (and potentially a Dada Zarude I got from a co-worker, but I don't use it - only did a quick jump to HOME and back for Pokedex completion purposes, and left it in the box).)

considering nobody has said anything *against* me linking the site i use for cloning on my switch 2, i might as well share it, it has usage limits...but please don't pay them for this...
Amazing mate , so you just gen on this website and recieve them in game ?

Can you come confirm the genned pokemon are working in Champions?

If you can get your pokemon off thr initial game it will work on champions

That legitimatcy check before a trade is the exact same legitimacy check that every single game performs on pokemon

If you can do a full trade you’re fine

What I do to make backups of my Legends ZA save that I have on switch 2 is:

-Transfer my save from Switch 2 to my modded Switch 1
-On my modded Switch 1 even in the Sysnand I have CFW but I only use it to access JKSV Homebre to backup my savefile into my SD card.
-Copy my save file into my PC with Homebrew FTP or extracting the SD
-Edit the save file on my computer with PkHex
-Put the save file back into my modded Switch
-Use again Homebrew to inject the save file into my console
-Transfer my save from my modded Switch 1 to my Switch 2

That's it. Many people have been using CFW on Sysnand just to extract and inject save files. I have been doing it from years and I have never been banned. And I have been online with my modded Switch 1 in the past when I played Scarlet and Violet but always playing with legal adquired games, digital or cartridges.
