Antidepressants can work for this, have you tried sertraline?
was gonna suggest ocd/anxiety medication but didn't know if OP was supposed to be taken seriously or not. nevertheless, it's probably not worth it unless it's really getting in the way of the individual and is just minimal etc

The added benefit of this medication is it treats depression, anxiety and OCD

The downside is a lot of people will have some sexual dysfunction

If it helps I have pretty strong ADHD in general and there are many overlaps so I can see where it is going.

And honestly I tried a clapper a few years ago, it was not reliable, either being set off by other noises, or not working consistently for intended claps
I'm too dummy thicc to have a clapper switch because the clapping of my cheeks would turn my house into a dancefloor.

the long term dependency can also be an issue. also there are many drug options to go with, either SSRIs or TCAs, but it's prudent to weigh in the pros/cons of each drug and doing thorough research before committing fully (just my 2 cents)

I was given vortioxetine for ADHD and anxiety/depression and while it did fuck all for the ADHD, it really helped with anxiety and the OCD-ish tendencies that come with it.

i have tried many now in the last two years.
i tend to get some really bad side-effects.

What no one is gonna tell you beforehand is that, most of em, make it so, as a man, you cant do a lot of these things anymore:

1. Stay erect
2. reach climax
3. You CAN still succeed, against the odds, but one time it took me 3 hours and i went limp multiple times.

i spent long stretches over the last two years WANTING to, but not being ABLE to.
You can not imagine what that does to a man.

i spoke to my doctor and told him that i am extremely uncomfortable talking about this, but that there are things i need to do, that i can no longer do and that i get very restless and moody if i couldnt do it for two months or longer.

He understood, we will try some other meds now.
Its not something i am comfortable talking about, but its still true.
If i cant shake the palm-tree once in a while im not a happy camper.

There is also bupropion which is an antidepressant and doesn't cause sexual side effects, but it doesn't treat OCD typically

It (SSRIs) affects women too believe me, I remember dating a girl on one and - my job was very tough let's put it that way
