Yup exactly. If Russia got involved, maybe it would nearly be a world war. They'd pretty much have to be gobbling up more European nations for that to happen. I don't even think they were doing that in WWII, that was Germany. I'm kinda surprised though that Putin hasn't dropped a nuke on Ukraine. Dude is batshit crazy as it is.

Okay...if you're of the opinion that it can only be called a world war if it was ignited by the same parties, then yeah...there won't be a third world war. Happy?

If, however, you look into what's actually happening, that's an entirely different situation. Iran is attacked by Israel and USA. Both sides (or all three, if you want to get technical) have strong allies. So there's certainly the potential for a larger conflict. The other current wars (Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Palestine) and needless conflicts (the US versus...EVERYBODY!!!!) certainly don't ease the tension. I don't exactly share @The Catboy 's opinion yet, but I can certainly see his perspective.

Putin is a lot of things(most of them bad), but crazy isn't one I would use, he's surrounded himself with too many yes men, which, in part, caused the Ukraine war. As far as nuking goes, that would be stupid for multiple reasons. For one, he wants Ukraine for the resources, can't really get resources from irradiated land, without investing more then it's worth. Another reason, it could give the many countries reason to really take up arms against Russia, and/or could push away the countries that still support Russia to various extent. The only way I can see Putin using a nuke is as a final f you, if he about to lose power.

As far as WWIII goes, I'm more worried about Trump doing something stupid, then any of the current conflicts growing to a WW scale.

Well, of opinion, one could construe that Trump already has done something stupid. However it isn't my opinion I see a lot of folk are haters these days tho'. We're only going to have him as president for 3 more years. After which, if we get another democrat in office I'm sure most of the stuff he has done will be overturned. Not that I wish this to happen but that's just how things go.

However, WWIII is highly unlikely because of no military pledge from Russia or China, so Russia is too worried about Europe and China is too worried about Taiwan, also economy in whole country. That wasn't case with Germany during WWI and WWII.
