Mere hours after the games released however, a Japanese speedrunner was surprised to see both the Mystic and Aurora tickets in their bag after beating the Elite Four.

We did have some datamining done and.... it appears they actually recompiled the games from source. They have a new build date in December 2025

Well can't confirm if it will play nice since the rom is doing some custom syscalls and emulators arent a fan

I'm rather shocked how they did it though. They actually went through and modified the original source code and recompiled the games to add them. We suddenly have a new 2025 build date for these games.

The weirder thing is that they just like... Didn't mention it? I feel like they made a big deal about Celebi being available in the 3DS version of Crystal.

Old Sea Map and Faraway Island were only in Emerald. I imagine we’ll get them if we get a port of that

A friend of mine bought one of the games and noticed that he could no longer call his rival "Schinke", which is what he called him in the original game.
The name itself is one letter away from "Schinken" meaning "ham" in German. Why is that not allowed? Your guess is as good as mine.

Why the fuck am I seeing what looks like PORN ADVERTS.....

I shouldn't have to rely on using ad blockers to block these malaware/virus adverts.

I was just about to screenshot it as I'm using my mobile, sods law it disappears, but it when pops up covers the text box where your trying to type.

If you have issues with ads, report them in a place admins might actually have a chance of seeing instead of in the middle of a long reply in a random thread.

Most ads include a "Report Ad" button so please use it to report any issues with ad content. There's no need to post about it on the forums, as we'll just direct you to that button.

Also, please keep in mind that these ads arent there just for the fun of it. We need revenue to keep servers going which is becoming increasingly difficult for us and our niche.

I'm 100% expecting them to do 1 generation each year. Nice and slow pace that gives them time to prepare. Question is more what do they do for gen 2?

The telemetry is probably the most interesting part of that. Wonder if it’ll be used to soft ban from Pokemon Home if you get up to any shenanigans? Can’t think of any other reason it’d be there,

Something that wasn't mentioned at all in other threads, is that Nintendo collects telemetry about your progress in-game, such as to what level your Pokemon are at. This is likely to do with banning cheaters.
