Homebrew N3DS XL camera hardware broken, any way to bypass crashing without repair?

hello! i got my n3ds xl in 2016, and as a 6 year old i would chew on what i assume is the light sensor? i'm completely sure it is a hardware issue, and am uninterested in any repairs (i'm utterly Broke).

the camera is broken, unsure which specifically but upon booting up anything with the camera my 3ds immediately Crashes. tomodachi life says that i have a camera issue (before crashing on me).

is there a way to stop the 3ds from booting up the camera Ever, and thus preventing the crashes? i don't mind it being unusable (thus, all black or something) i have CFW installed & if there is Anything at all that might help i would really appreciate it! thank you all in advance!

If you're unsure, then don't you think it would be useful to say something about the error message you're seeing..?
