Hacking Sigpatches for Atmosphere (Hekate, fss0, fusee & package3)

Is it ok running firmware 20.5.0 with latest cfw 1.10.2? Thinking whether I should downgrade to atmosphere

Not sure if it's a good advice or not but I personally use the latest Atmosphere for the particular firmware version e.g. for firmware 20.5.0 I'd use Atmosphere 1.9.5.

I'm currently on Atmosphere v1.10.1, hekate v6.4.2, sys-patch 1.5.9 and firmware 21.1.0 and everything seems to be working fine on my end (working = I've tested an app or two to see if it'll work and/or crash and I haven't seen any issue with all the homebrew apps I use most of which were officially updated). Firmware 21.0.0 broke a thing or two and most of the homebrew apps had to be rebuilt with the latest libnx. Check this thread to see if homebrew apps you're using were updated, either officially or unofficially. Don't forget to update your sys-modules as well.

I'd don't have my hacked Switch on me right now but can you tell me what does the sys-patch log say? You can post the contents of the log file here, it should be in the config/sys-patch folder if I remember correctly (or if you're using Tesla Menu or Ultrahand, you can check the logs there to see if everything says Patched). For sys-patch to work, you need to reboot the console at least once after updating as the patches are applied on boot.

Tinfoil is in process of being updated to support the latest version of atmosphere.

some games do open but takes forever to load and black screen with logo for ages but game finally fully loads to play and select options after like 5 mins. dont get this

Sounds more like your SD card is dead, and that your problems are unrelated to your switch firmware, unrelated to your patches and unrelated to your atmosphere version.

Backup all files on your SD card on your pc, format it to fat 32 using fat32 format (https://gbatemp.net/download/gui-format.33869/) then test your sd card using H2Testw (https://www.heise.de/download/product/h2testw-50539) or from Downloads section https://gbatemp.net/download/h2testw.39119/

managed to load a game in ok time.. but takes ages to load the gameplay.. so SD cards seesms ok. unless its the game files?

I had the same issue as you my games were loading abysmally slow and i ended up factory resetting my oled switch and reinstalling my games and its working smoothly now loading fast as it did before

That is your problem you are using a prepackage package, INSTALL ALL YOUR UPDATES BY YOURSELF.

Hi guys. What about tinfoil. It is not working anymore on 21.20.
I think so sigpatches is the problem. It needs an update or something different will take place.

You have to use a custom version of Atmosphere called kefir for firmware 21.x.x

I am using everything pure, and i am installing every component by myself with your great help, thank you for your kindness but everything works fine except for tonfoil. I am using Awoo Installer 1.36 with Ns-usbloader v4.3 for game installation and there is no problem.
Lastly i watched some videos about tinfoil error like this:
When tinfoil is loading components, it closes and it displays "The software is closed because an error occured."

In switch folder everything is updated.
Afterwards sys-patch 1.5.9 is installed.
Hekate+AMS-package3-sigpatches-1.10.2-cfw-21.2.0 is installed either.
